Additional info & updates

One safety (Loyola) A few targets (UCLA, Texas, USC, GW) and a whole slew of reaches cause you never know!
I am really hoping against all odds that I will get into at least one of; Berkeley, UVA, Duke, Cornell, Michigan, or GULC. I would go to any of those schools in a hearbeat and getting into just one of them is not an impossibility, perhaps unlikely, but not impossible.
Also, I sent all my apps in by early November, and all of the schools were complete by mid December, I don't remember the exact dates.
It's been a long wait, and now I have to continue waiting until the summer, but I am not expecting any love from waitlists.
I changed my race from Caucasion to Caucasionish. I am half Iranian and half Hungarian, label me what you will. Race is an outdated term regardless.
For what it's worth, I got priority waitlist at GULC and placed on reserve at Columbia.
And to clarify, Cornell and Columbia are actually reserves, I put down deferred because that seemed the most similar option.

IN OFF UCLA WAITLIST 8/15/05! ACCEPTED THE OFFER AND WITHDREW FROM EVERYWHERE STILL WAITLISTED (except Berkeley which eventually rejected me)

Thanks critic for the encouragement, for some reason I also think that Cornell just might happen for me. Good luck to you too! The Mac, I only date my girlfriend, but you know what, gay guys have always thought I was either cute or gay or both, and I have an exceptional gaydar for a straight guy... but only girls can arouse my passions, what can I say, I love women!

good luck!

good luck sie, you have a higher LSAT and GPA than me, so I think good vibes are coming your way...

answering a question

I saw your question on my profile and I'm just now getting around to answering it. Among the top-tier schools I honestly liked Notre Dame best and William and Mary was a close second. The admissions has switched them around (meaning ND WL'd me and WM gave me a scholarship), so that's why I'm probably going to WM. Good luck on your apps.

Congrats

Congratulations on GW. I'm still waiting to hear there. On Harvard, you won't be missing anything. After two years working for this institution, let me tell you it's not so special. There are much brighter horizons elsewhere! Good luck on the rest of your apps. Waiting is the worst...

deferred

deferred at cornell and columbia are actually reserves. I think that they are similar, although it is likely that less people get in off of reserve lists than deferred lists. Wishful thinking I suppose.

also, decision

decisions took an extremely long time for me, I would say that the vast majority of them came in late march/early april. There must have been something in my application that schools liked a lot, and something that they really didn't like. Come to think of it, that something must have been my GPA/LSAT split (please don't get upset with me over calling my numbers splits-I've had to explain why I describe my numbers as splits to one too many people, and if my 8 waitlists/reserves doesn't prove that then I don't know what will).

Sorry about the WL Rejection, but I guess its better to know now than in late August, right? I was wondering how you heard? Letter? Email? Also did you specifically ask them to decide and did you send any additional info? I'm real curious! Any final decision yet on where your going to go in the fall?
