Additional info & updates

Dates: Applied = submitted application; Received = LSDAS report requested; Complete = Notification from school that application is complete; Decision = date on letter.

I'll update this as I get information. Let it also be said that I've applied to MA programs at Georgetown and Johns Hopkins - SAIS, and that pending those outcomes in mid-March, my decision on law school may or may not change. Of course, given what law schools I get into, it also may not matter. But we'll see. I'll update the status of those below.

Georgetown Graduate School of Arts and Sciences: ACCEPTED on 03/18/2007
Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies: REJECTED on 03/29/07

=============================

12-8: Thin white envelope from Georgetown. Oh well, didn't actually expect to get in.

12-10: Letter from Michigan saying my file is complete and will be reviewed. Thought they'd already rejected me when I saw this.

12-15: Letter from WashU saying my file was complete and would be reviewed.

12-22: E-mail from W&L confirming receipt of my application - a month later? Jesus people, this isn't rocket science.

1-18: Rejection letter received from Michigan (thin white envelope).

1-22: E-mail from W&L telling me I need to submit a Dean's Certification. This is the first I've heard of it.

1-27: E-mail from Dean Pless at University of Illinois telling me I'm on hold, and will receive a second look shortly.

1-28: Rejection letter received from Boston College (thin white envelope).

2-15: Letter from GW, telling me that 2006 was a class that was too large, and despite my outstanding application, I am being placed on the wait list. (Thin cream envelope with a small white postcard).

3-08: Rejection letter from Emory (thin white envelope.)

3-15: Waitlisted at University of Virginia - huh? Nonresident general waitlist. No card enclosed (thin creme envelope, SURE I would be dinged here.)

3-18: Rejected from University of Illinois (thin white envelope.)

3-22: Waitlisted at American University. Larger white envelope - guess this is the flip side of Virginia.

3-23: Waitlisted at Washington & Lee (thin white envelope.)

3-27: Waitlisted at William & Mary (thin creme envelope.)

3-30: Waitlisted at Washington University @ St. Louis. (E-mail.)

Thanks for the advice about GW P/T. I am really looking to go to Minnesota I think though, and dont think I would consider GW if it were not Full time. They say the 25% is a 163, dosent that mean that 1 out of every 4 people have a lower LSAT? Do you think we are that our of the range? Thanks!

Don't fret
