i'm glad to see we're trying for the same schools....i was beginning to think maybe i was overestimating my chances of getting in at some of these places, which perhaps i am...but it's reassuring to see you trying for them as well!

thanks guys for the encouragement. i'm a bit afraid that i'm aiming too high with my numbers, so i'm pretty anxious right now.
i applied to the same set of schools with almost identical numbers, and am equally anxious.
...on the GULC waitlist. i know that's not the best news but it's better than the big DING that i got today. atleast they took one of us :)

hey there, i was just wondering if you wrote any of the optional essays for michigan??
hey rj, yes, i wrote two of the optional essays. one was the "why mich?" one where i detailed what i found appealing about the school and why it was a good fit for me. i can't remember what the second was, but i'm pretty sure that it was some variation of my diversity essay.
cool, that sounds good. i wrote two additional essays as well and just had another letter sent in. thit was written by an alum who's a partner at the firm where i work, hoping to get my app out of the reject pile. :-p
... on your acceptances so far! Our numbers are similar and we're applying to many of the same schools, so I may keep an eye on you. :) I know I'm not going to hear back for ages...
