12/6 -- In at UT-Austin, small envelope

12/23 -- In at ASU with a nice handwritten note from the dean about my PS, small envelope

1/10 -- In at Vanderbilt, small envelope

1/11 -- Call from Dean Anne Richard at George Washington telling me I'm in, things are really heating up....

1/23 -- Received acceptance package from GW, with a handwritten note from the dean of the school

1/24 -- Email acceptance from Wash U St. Louis, with mention of a possible scholarship come February

1/25 -- Email from Boalt stating my application has been "selected for further consideration." I'll treat that as a deferral. Apparently, this gives me a 1 in 7 shot at best, from top-law-schools.com forum.

2/1 -- In at Arizona with a Perry Rogers Scholarship, good for full tuition for 3 years. Nice way to start February!

2/5 -- Two dings in one day--Chicago/Stanford. Oh well, didn't have a good shot at either of them, so no big shock.

2/8 -- Waitlist at Duke via email this morning. I'm not sure if/how long I'm going to stick it out.

2/10 -- Out at Harvard--who didn't see that one coming from 10 miles away?

2/15 -- Waitlist at UCLA via mail.

2/21 -- Priority Waitlisted at Georgetown, via mail.

3/1 -- Scholar in Law Award from WashU, VA Status Check goes to decision.

3/2 -- Waitlisted at Michigan via email.

3/3 -- Heard from the final two schools today--dinged at Boalt and waitlisted at UVa, both by mail

I'm on the GULC "preferred" waitlist too. What's the significance, if any, of the fact that it's "unranked." Does that mean it works like a lottery?
