It looks like we are on the same boat... And if it weren't for our gpas we would both be up a creek without a paddle! If my score was any lower I probably would have taken the LSAT again. At this point my gpa is carrying me and with my lsat I can squeak by into enough schools to attend one that I really like. I already got into Kentucky and if my other top 6 don't come through, I think I will go there.... Just not worth waiting another year to try again.... Not to mention I don't want to go through that hell again, I'll save that for actual law school. : ) GL with Loyola! This waiting for decisions is making me crazy!
Yeah, I'm on the "preferred" waitlist, and I really don't know what to make of it. I've heard that people on the PWL have a pretty good shot at getting in, but do I really want to bet on that? So... yeah. It's a lottery. Congrats on your acceptances so far. Any top choices?
Hey, congrats on all of your acceptances as well. While Southwestern is a good school, and I hear it does have a good rep in LA, I've heard Loyola and Pepp not only have better reps in LA, but also across the country. And, I want to go to a school that is ranked. That is why I withdrew from Southwestern. Have you been to Southwestern or Loyola? I am going to visit Loyola and Pepp in a few weeks. Also, congrats on GW, that is awesome!

I'm not really sure what unranked means. I don't know if it's a lottery or if they review files again when spots turn up. Supposedly, the preferred waitlist's GULC's highest list, so we might still have a shot.
Well, it took a little longer than your experience, but I've got my Loyola acceptance (and now a big headache over the decision between Loyola part-time and Pacific full-time is coming on. . .hoo boy). By the way, congrats on that Georgetown waitlist. . .that's amazing!
Being on the preferred waitlist means you have a pretty decent shot at getting in. I was waitlisted, but on their regular waiting list, so I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen! Congrats on all of your acceptances!
Congrats on Fordham, Mason, and GW... hopefully I will have the same luck. Waited WAY late to apply though. Any advice?
I've got to say-I'm incredibly jealous that you already know about Mason! I am DYING to find out. But congratulations!
talked to the dean a couple of times in the past week or so. They are, supposedly, "behind" in reviewing applications. I'll give them another week (maybe-if I have the patience), and then get in contact again!
Thanks for the heads up. I transmitted my FAFSA today, I guess I'll have to do it twice more to hit all the schools I applied to. Whats the deal with the 6 school limit? Anyway... hopefully I will have the same results. What do you want to do with your degree and where do you think you will go?
I think I'd be happy at any of the ones on my list ranked 58 and higher... although I am hoping for better luck than that. Anything below that and I am not sure I would attend this year. OH BTW.. will schools notify you once they get your FAFSA?
Actually I forgot that one until after I sent the last message. Yeah I would consider going, but there are some big schools in the area which spells major competition. I would love to do Brooklyn or Mason though. I really dont care if it is PT or FT I just want to go to a good school.
I was shocked, as well, about being waitlisted. The letter said most decisions are made after May 15. I've put a call in to the Dean to see if she can shed any light on why I was waitlisted, and if I can do anything to improve my chances, so now I'm waiting for her to call me back. In the meantime, I'm going to wait until the last possible moment before submitting my first seat deposit to GW, just in case GMU gets back to me sooner rather than later.
Several reasons for choosing SCALE: 1- I go to a really small school right now where I have less than 20 people in all of my classes and really love it. SCALE classes are tiny and you get a lot of personal attention and feedback. 2- I went to college on and off for five years before going full time the last 2 years to finish. I don't want any more breaks, I just want to work as a lawyer ASAP. 3- I am married and we own a condo, so 2 years of having to pay for 2 places is better than 3.
amazing cycle. which school are you leaning towards?
So since my luck was not so great this year, I have decided to reapply 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 months earler than last cycle. Since our numbers were so close I was wondering if I could get some input from you. I plan to apply to all the DC and NYC schools I did last time. Plus this time I am working at a law office and revamping my application packet for each school. Anyway, I'll tell you more if you'd like to email me. Congrats on all your acceptances!
Well I just updated my choices for this cycle.. I wouls love your feed back on chances or other progams I should consider (or not even bother with ;) ) Hope all is wel with you, I might ask you to give me some thoughts on my PS once it is in a workable version. Hope all is well Mr 1L!
was it easy to get in? i have the same credentials and will apply for part time schools in new york? are they very selective? when did you apply? i am so scared that i won't get in...
thanks for your comment. I actually retook the exam and got 159. I believe they no longer average the scores, so hopefully they won't pay 151 too much attention. i am applying to all the part time programs in ny and seton hall in nj. so what do you think?
I am really pulling for UT since it will be a pretty cheap option... but I like all the schools on my list. How is life at Loyola?
unfortunately, the email sent out by hofstra went to all students, including some who have been rejected and some who have not been accepted yet.. only accepted students have been able to login.. i sugest you contact hofstra about their error
