Additional info & updates

With a solid essay, some strong recommendations from two professors, a former employer, and a NJ superior court judge, I hope I get into at least one of the schools. My first choice is New York Law.

Accepted to New England Law School via phone call on February 12.

Rejected to New York Law via status checker February 17. I'm totally bummed because it was my first choice and I thought I had a pretty good chance considering previously accepted applicants. If I got rejected here, I can't imagine getting in anywhere else on my list.

Apparently NYLS is trying to up their reputation this year by accepting students with higher LSAT and GPA's than years past. But don't be too down on yourself--I got into NELS a week later which is good. I'm sure good news is just around the corner for you too.
