I'd think you have a better shot at it than I do but who knows when we'll find out. Everybody but one guy on here have been RD applicants.

Havent heard from you since before Oct LSAT. (we were prepping on the importworld.com turned LSAT website). Hope your cycle goes well, you obviously did well in Oct. and I think you should be good at UVA ED... just my .02 cents.

Thanks for the congrats, and no, I haven't heard anything about scholarship money. I though that was a bit weird, but we'll see what comes with the acceptance packet. The first one is nice, I was starting to get pretty downcast about the whole situation (and wondering if my roommate had sneaked some F-bombs in my PS when I wasn't looking). Still shocked by your ND reject but I'm that one (or many!) T14 accepts will make up for it.

Well, I got the hold email, too. No love for splitters during early decision from UT, I suppose.

Yeah, UT is definitely my #1. Hopefully we'll hear something positive early in the regular decision cycle. Good luck with Georgetown!

It says something about how I am one of the applicants they would like to let in, and that I will be given priority in the waitlist (but not within the preferred waitlist). It also says that the preferred waitlist is not ranked.

Hm, I don't know...all I've heard about is a general waitlist, and the preferred waitlist. The exact text of mine is: "Applicants on the Preferred Waiting List are among those we would like to include in our first year class. These applicants have the strongest credentials of all waiting list candidates and, as a result, receive priority consideration if spaces become available..." I'm just hoping for the best I guess.

I'm sure you'll get the Wash U acceptance. I think, for better or for worse, they are one of the schools that sees the numbers more importantly than the backstory, and your 170 is like the holy grail for them. I kinda doubtful that the 90K they gave splitters last year will be coming our way though. The preferred waitlist at Georgetown will probably turn into an acceptance. Remember how big their class is, so they'll have a ton of movement, in my opinion. As of now, you are much closer to the T14 than I am.

been following your cycle. Some of these rejections seem straight up bizarre. I know you've got some harmful things on your resume, or whatever, but this is getting downright ridiculous. That being said, I'm sure you have a bunch of acceptances coming. Care to PM me your other schools? My cycle is going well, but nothing there is much of a suprise, and i'm sure the schools will eventually come around to your side. With the big boys, you're 0-0-2, i'm 0-1-1, so in that aspect you are winning.

No, I didn't. Looking back, I was overseas and it would have been a hassle, but I wish I would have. I'm not feeling very confident. I also don't have any true work experience, and I didn't write the why NW essay. I think my odds are VERY low for an admit there, but I'm holding out hope. But yeah, the 8 weeks are up in a about a week or so. Likely won't be good news though.

check out Baylor's status checker...mine says decision has been sent but I did not get an email, most like a rejection? Good luck with everything!

Thanks for all the encouragement. After much reflection it was probably an LGBT advocacy internship that I put on my resume that kept me out (I probably wouldn't have fit in anyways...) Congrats on Bama! Keep me posted on how the rest of your cycle goes!

That letter is pretty rough. That would probably be an auto-rejection if an applicant did that, but it amazes me when schools make mistakes like that.
