Thanks, you too!
Good luck with your cycle!
best of luck to a fellow texan!
I'm from VA and went to undergrad there. Thanks! Good luck this cycle! :)
good luck to you too! i wish that some of my schools had early action...i'm going to die if i don't hear anything before december.
good luck to you as well. the waiting game is not nearly as fun as it sounds...
good luck to you too. You from Rice?
Aye, grazie, and yourself! (Incidentally, what prep materials have you been using to study for the LSAT? I'd recommend the powerscore bibles, as far as I'm concerned, they're far superior to anything put out by Kaplan or the like.) (Also, your extracurricular's sound really amazing!)
Well, good luck! We gotta uphold Texas' good name and all that.
Good luck with Notre Dame!
I'm so excited! Keep me posted on your cycle, if you have any LSAT questions, drop me a line and if I have time, I'll help you figure it out.
I'm in the same boat after the October test--and also had to contact a lot of schools to ask them to wait to review applications. Good luck on your test in December!
I'm using the PowerScore bibles and taking a lot of timed practice tests. Between now and December 6th I'll be spending a lot of early mornings and late evenings in the office trying to get study time in around work time. Can't wait to be done!
For the good vibes. Hopefully after December your LSAT will be blowing mine out of the water! Hope the studying is going well!
Thank you! Good luck on the December test!
Good luck on your cycle and your retake in december.
Hey.. we sent in our DUKE app.. around the same time.. and i have yet to receive a response (seems like you too). Im getting really nervous about it.. even though i know its a reachhhh.. good luck to you!
I hope your December retake went well! Best of luck to you!
Actually I felt pretty good about the test this time. Last time I walked out hoping and praying that on my test the 1st section would be dropped and the 3rd would count... no such luck as it turned out haha. The 2nd time around felt much better. I was a lot less nervous that is for sure. How do you think it went this time?
Good luck to you as well. Hope the Dec. LSAT went better for you.
i don't know, i was surprised. i took the LSAT twice though and I didn't write an addendum. The first time was significantly lower, so maybe they averaged them?
They sent me an email. Good luck!
we have similar numbers...just saying whats up haha. you have a very ambitious cycle. good luck to you.
So when do you get your new LSAT score? I'm rooting for you!
Of the schools I'm in, my top choice is still UT. If/When Virginia accepts me, they'd be neck and neck--but, honestly, it'll probably end up being UT because a) UT is a fantastic school b) I like living in Texas and want to practice here c) UT is already a significantly cheaper school than any of the others would be. All told, I think I'd be very happy with my decision to go to UT (also, I'd get to legitimately root for the Longhorns.) What about you? You're applying to Berkeley, Georgetown, and Duke, would an acceptance from any of those sway your eye?
Hey, no worries, the cycle's a rough time, encouragement helps. Also, honestly, I know absolutely nobody in Austin and it'd be kinda cool if I knew *somebody* else there come the fall.
10 points is amazing. Big congrats!
good luck on your cycle!
What is up with Baylor ignoring us both, but giving responses to people who applied a week ago in 3-4 days? I would have animus towards anyone fortunate to live outside of Waco too, but this is ridiculous. Anyways, good luck with your cycle. I'll be stalking your profile to see when Baylor notifies you.
I find it hard to believe - and I've seen some head scratching decisions this cycle - that Baylor sent a rejection letter. Your numbers are right in line with their Fall class in 2008. At the same time, you are absolutely correct - Baylor emails their accepted students. I guess the only fortunate thing about this entire situation, if they have in fact mailed a letter, it will arrive relatively quickly since you live in Texas. Good luck with Baylor nevertheless. Congrats on American, too. That is a good school, arguably better than the purported rankings would suggest.
best of luck to you too. i'm a texan as well... don't mess
Sorry about Baylor. I would have expected otherwise, especially considering last cycle's acceptances.
If that bothered Baylor it's no wonder that they are taking forever on my app too - many items on my app don't seem to be congruent with the typical perception of Baylor. At least I know what to expect now.
Hey, good luck with all your apps! I think you'll get some good options with your numbers! My top choice is W&L, but the mid-west/Big 10 schools to which I applied are up there, too. Hope you get one of your tops!
Has your status checker changed by any chance? Mine switched earlier today for the first time since my application went complete, but I'm perplexed with the update. It basically says: Current Status: Held for Further Review Current Status Date: 1/29/2009
Not sure... went to HYP, so that probably helped. Also have pretty good softs (I'd say well above average of people that went to HYP if that helps).
Congrats on American too! It was a good day and by the looks of your lsat and gpa, you have a lot more good days in store. Good luck!
My +10 numbers twin! What's up with Baylor?! Great job with American! That is a terrific school. TLS is starting to drive me mad with the waiting game!
I would say, right now, my top choice might be retaking the lsat and waiting a year (haha). I hope ND works out, it's a major strech though. Who are you hoping for?
I checked on the online status checker.
Hey, how did American contact you?
Congrats on Hastings! I am dying to hear from them. They are probably my top realistic choice and we have the same numbers, so I'll take your acceptance as a good omen!
...not before my letter arrived.
Yeah it changed, I'm not exactly sure when because I wasn't checking it religiously, but it indicates that it changed as soon as the decision was reached.
I'm pretty happy with it, and it looks like that's where I'll be going. UT would probably still pull me away, but I'm not holding my breath. Congrats on your acceptances so far and I'm sure there are more to come!
Hello numbers twin! I still really have no idea where I want to go. I just sent off LOCI to Colorado, Illinois, and GW. Those are really my top 3 right now and I will attend any of them if I get off the waitlist. Otherwise I don't know really where I will be headed next year...maybe wisconsin, Arizona, Hastings, DePaul, San Diego, Pepperdine??? HaHa I better figure it out fast...where are you thinking of going?
It's not a scholly so much... A "WCL grant" on my financial aid award online. I posted it here because i wanted people to see that grant money from American does exist. I don't think American is the right school for me, but I was happy to see that they're not as stingy as their rep. :)
Yea, I don't know what the deal is. I bet you're gonna get in, they just take forever notifying people. If you got in, would you still go, or are you for sure committing to American?
When did you hear about the wait list? It is my top choice school and I have been on the wait list since last month. I am visiting for a tour and interview next week and hoping something comes from it. How were you notified? Congrats!
Nothing really special. Four years work experience. Thats about it.
