2 years WE at law firm
3 LORs - 2 from profs, 1 from employer

Ohio State - phone call
Temple - really thin white envelope
Case - e-mail
Tulane - e-mail
Chicago-Kent - e-mail
Missouri - small white envelope
Maryland - big envelope that says "Congratulations!"

So much for the "package = acceptance" theory!

Wisconsin - I am "on hold." Apparently, this means that I will either be accepted or put on the waitlist. The letter said that candidates on the hold list are ranked above those on the waitlist.

Case: $11K/year (+ $2K/year increase) = $13K
OSU: $3.5K/first year, $2K/other years
Kent: $5K one-time grant. WTF?

5/6/05 - FINALLY! A response from all 15 schools. Final count:

7 ins
5 outs
3 maybes

Overall, I'm pleased with the process and the results.

Hi. I'm visiting OSU on Friday, and I'm probably going to put my deposit down. What are you planning to do for housing? IM me or email me sometime. -Erica

I don't know how to e-mail you, but I loved OSU when I visited! It seems like an awesome, supportive, progressive environment with great professors and administration. And while the university is huge, the law school doesn't feel that way.

You are correct, I am speaking only to those, as I refer to them, "high class snobs" that simply think that just because they got a 170 or above on one test, even though they have a GPA of less than 3.0 that they are better than those of us who actually had high GPAs and proved ourselves through 4 years of school. Someone such as yourself had a very nice GPA and so I was talking to some of those people who are too chicken to post their name and are most likely people who had high LSAT's, but have too small of a GPA to show that they can cut it in law school. You will be fine.
