Other Stuff

3/23: Offered 10K per year at Richmond. Looks enticing.

Visiting soon: Temple, Catholic and Richmond.

3/29: After visiting the schools I've decided not to send in a seat deposit for Villanova (4/1) . So, it's as good as a withdraw. I wasn't as impressed with Richmond as I thought I would be, and will probably be withdrawing there or not sending in a deposit.

~I've decided to withdraw from the GMU waitlist (it's really not my first choice), and just hold out hope for American or UMD.

So as of now, it's Temple or Catholic.

And (at least) I did not get rejected anywhere. Wohoo!

~~~~~~~~~
4/13: As of now, I'm leaning more towards Temple. If anyone is familiar with the school, or Catholic for that matter, let me know if this is a good decision!
5/5: Yup, I'm about 95% sure I'm going to Temple. CUA w/o any $$ is just not worth the move to DC. Although it would be nice to hear from American, I'm not even sure if it would be worth it to go there considering the area is so much more expensive than Philly. Plus they aren't that far apart in the rankings...
5/20: Although I haven't officially withdrawn from CUA, I will not be sending in my second deposit.
6/8: Wow...just got an acceptance letter from UMD! I need advice. Temple or Maryland?!
Decision made: I'm going to Baltimore!
*I withdrew from American because I didn't want to be tempted to say yes* They seem like a-holes anyway.
I visited Catholic for the admitted students weekend a while back. The campus is nice but way far away from everything. The students seem cool and if you really want to practice in DC, then it's cool, because CUA has a good rep there. But if you wanna get started outside DC, it's more of an open question. Classes almost seemed to friendly between prof and students. Also, CUA got dropped to T3. I would go to Temple. I'm probably headed to Loyola in LA.
I realized I'd have a good shot at being admitted that way, but I'm not willing to go part-time. It's not worth it to me to have to make that switch. I also don't have a job in the area and don't want to look for one. I can't get in-state (at least for the first year) because I'm a Delaware resident. If they call me for FT, that's great. I'm not holding my breath though...
Thanks for the congrats! I actually just recieved an acceptance letter via regular mail yesterday (big envelope). Before that I had received a phone call from them asking me if i was still interested in attending. (I said "yes, very"). That phone call was well over 2 weeks ago so I wasn't quite sure what it meant...but, from my experience I think if that happens you can at least expect *great* consideration from the committee. HTH. I hope you get a call/letter too!
