Additional info & updates

Waiting on my September LSAT score praying I don't have to retake it in December.

Oct 21: Got my Sep score. It was definitely lower than my practice tests so I will be sitting for December sadly.

October 30th - Accepted to Creighton with Full Tuition Scholarship

December 8th - Email requesting a phone interview from Michigan State

December 9th - Accepted to SLU with $84,000 scholarship

December 12th - Phone Interview with Michigan State

December 22 - Accepted to Michigan State with a Full Tuition Scholarship
God is good

January 2 - New LSAT score was a 2 point increase. Wanted more but I am fine with it, let the cycle officially begin!!!

January 6 - SLU increased my scholarship to $90,000 because of my increased LSAT score (155>157)

January 12 - Accepted to Boston College
THANK GOD!!!!

January 16 - Waistlisted by IU Bloomington. Kind of surprised to be honest but we will see how it goes.

January 28th - Email received asking for an interview from Wash U

January 29th - Accepted to Iowa SO EXCITED!!!! Based on my numbers, this was a reach school for sure so I am pumped.

January 30 - Accepted to Ohio State!!! Scholarship is $18K per year and they gave me a $14k waiver for instate tuition Yayyy

February 2nd - Interview with Wash U

February 4th - Iowa offered full tuition scholarship and job as research assistant as 2L & 3L with pay - God is so good!!!!!

February 10th - Withdrew from IU's waitlist

February 10th - Waitlisted by Penn but the email was very nice. Sending more info to them soon

February 10th - Placed on hold with Northwestern, going to send more materials and hope for the best. It's been a rough day today but at least I am still in the fight.

February 13 - Accepted to Wash U, this was very surprising and definitely a reach for me!!! God is good!

March 9 - Accepted to Boston University. Finally good news after several weeks of radio silence. Plus $30k/year scholarship

March 13 - Rejected at Georgetown. Not surprised but it's ok they're too pricey and don't give enough scholarship money.

March 16 - Rejected at UVA. Not a surprise at all

March 17 - Rejected at UChicago, not a surprise but it was favorite school next to Northwestern.

March 23 - Rejected at Michigan. Really liked them and they were a top 3 choice for me. This one stings.

March 30 - Waitlisted at Emory...kind of surprised considering I got into higher ranked schools with scholarship money.

June 2 - Waitlisted at Northwestern

June 17 - Penn released me from the waitlist - Cycle sadly ends

June 22 - Withdrew from Northwestern
Will be reapplying for next fall

Goodluck to us all!!!

Im asssuming you'll be staying on the Penn and Northwestern waitlist?

Update
Saturday, October 18 2014 at 04:03 PM

acinderellastory: I'm on hold at Northwestern and they said they would start letting Held people know actual decisions in early April and I told them April 15th was the latest I would wait for them so hopefully I don't have to ride out the Penn waitlist. But the plan for now is definitely to ride out both of those situations.

Still nothing from Cornell =( Where are you thinking of going for now?

Update

@acinderellastory The plan for now is to wait as long as I can on Northwestern before I lose scholarships at BU and Wash U. I really want a t-14. If I get rejected at Northwestern and Cornell, I'll wait on Penn but even if I get it the plan is to hold out, retake in October and reapply as early as I can this fall for next year. Not ideal but oh well. In a perfect world, Northwestern would just come through since it's been my first choice from the start.

Not Penn then?
Friday, April 04 2014 at 02:35 PM

So you would not go to Penn even if you got in?

Not Penn then?
Saturday, October 18 2014 at 04:03 PM

If I get in I am 85% certain I would go, it would just be hard to accept the whole paying sticker price thing @acinderellastory

Just read through some of your comments and we have a pretty similar plan, I am still waiting to hear back from Cornell, Duke, and Columbia. Hopefully in at one of these *knock on wood* and I will make a seat deposit and wait out Harvard and Penn. Back up plan is to study for October @townsek

Thanks!

My top choice at this moment is Cornell, unless I miraculously get into NYU or UVA with $$$. I'm 90% sure I will go at this point. The fact that I only have 2 options available right now is making this easier for me haha.

Saturday, October 18 2014 at 04:03 PM

@savyandslender I am sure you will get into one of those at the very least. Sending good vibes your way! Definitely considering taking October and waiting a year but we will see what happens @EOLB13 that's true, you've already got it narrowed down so that helps! Congrats on Cornell, great choice!

HELP

Anyone who sees this and is wait-listed or admitted at Penn and not going, please withdraw. I'm depending on folks like y'all lol. But seriously, withdraw if you're going somewhere else please. Thanks

Saturday, October 18 2014 at 04:03 PM

Still need folks to keep withdrawing from Penn...share that with your friends. I appreciate it in advance :)
