Additional info & updates

Been out of school a few years - My GPA if I am lucky will be around a 3.0 - I had an awesome intership/job while an UG - but I was more interested in partying than studying.

After college though I had great work experience. Worked for a leading consulting firm for 2 years out of college, then got into politics which lead me to work for a judge who is now a Federal Court Magistrate, worked for Congressman and ran his reelection in '04 which was considered one of the top 5 House races. Ran another campaign this year. They are both writing LOR's in addition to an UG prof who knows me well and is well known himself.

Work experience shows career progression, I just need to kill the LSAT - 168 - 172 or so to give me a fighting chance at the schools I am applying to. I am putting in the hours to get there by the 12/3 test.

Any constructive comments appreciated.

LSAT Prep

in re: your question- i took a lot of prep tests, over 20 of them before the actual exam. i also found a friendly philosopher professor who did some work on games with me, but by the time i found him i had already used the Logic Games Bible by Powerscore- which i cannot recommend highly enough. i went from usually getting 4-6 wrong on a game section to usually acing it. reading comp was always easy for me, outside of a few tests which were abberations i rarely got a single question wrong, so i can't really add anything there. logical reasoning ended up being the hardest section for me. i found that if i learned which types of question generally gave me fits, i could notice them when they came up, and then i could do better on them by carefully examining them.
