I interned at the Massachusetts State House ths past summer. Lived near Medford area, lots of fun. I got to Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
How were you notified of your acceptance? When were you "complete"? Congrats on the acceptance
Detroit is a very strong regional school. I am from the detroit area and I have had many friends attend and are doing very well for themselves. If you plan to practice in the area here at first, you'll be all set...assuming you do well. It is a little run down but they have plans to renovate. I absolutely love it and am praying I get in to the part time program. Congrats! I hope you enjoy your visit. Give it a chance, you'll be pleased. Good luck
Did you get into the special program at Detroit? I am hispanic as well, and I am highly considering Detroit Mercy. Let's chat further. What is your e-mail? Have you visited UDM? What is the area like?
I don't know tooo much about UDM, but I know that the job market in Detroit is amazing. Eventhough the school is 4th tier you can still come out making 80k if you play your cards right. The admissions staff is so nice there, they have been very helpful since the beginning. I didn't mean to sound harsh in my last comment about the URM thing, but it is something that needs to be noted. I was sure that if I applied to schools that didn't have alot of Hispanics that I would be a shoe in. So I shot for schools with 152-159 LSATs...and no one wants me. Just be careful... I just got an email today from FCSL saying I was in...so send them a status check email.
