Additional info & updates

-All decisions are finally in, will stay on waitlist @ Washington, just to see what happens. (3.26)

-Got an e-mail from Washington saying that they appreciate my patience and that they would mail a decision on the 23rd of March...don't really know what to make of that.(3.14)

- Finally the decision drought is over...two decisions came in today, in @ Iowa (by e-mail) , rejected @ George Mason...kinda makes sense though, I think I wasn't conservative enough for Mason (3.10)

- Got a letter from the Dean of IU today; I will most definitely keep IU in consideration, they've been quite nice throughout this whole process...but I'd really like to get the rest of these decisions back. (2.15)

- Got home from work and Temple admission package was waiting in the mail. (2.8)

- I was right...accepted @ IU-Bloomington today via e-mail at around 10AM. Especially since the interview went really well. (2.8)

- stepped down from waitlists @ Vanderbilt & Wisconsin and seriously considering withdrawing app @ Cornell, I REALLY like Chapel Hill. (2.8)

- in @ Chapel Hill...nothing puts the Black back into Black History Month faster than an acceptance to one of your top choices....came in small white envelope; emotions went from Nadir to Zenith in the span of time it took me to read the first five words.(2.5)

- didn't get into Cal-Hastings today...imagine that, a Cali school rejecting an out-of-state applicant. (2.2)

- waitlisted @ Vandy today...wow; definitely thought that was going to be an auto rejection. at least I still haven't taken an L this cycle, but I am no longer above .500...which kinda hurts, not gonna lie. (1.29)

- waitlisted by Maryland today...not so sure I care; sending back the slip declining the waitlist. I was never really sold on law school in Bodymore anyway. (1.27)

- remarkable turn around on American; about 2 weeks from completion notice to acceptance letter. (1.23)

*season record so far 7-4-5

Given the way the profs and dean were talking to me at the reception I was invited to, I'm going to say I'm about 88% sure I've been accepted, but we'll have to see.

Congrats on U of I...still waiting for my determination. When did you apply?

Index is a number derived from your gpa and lsat score. they calculate differently at every school. it helps them weed out the definite acceptances and definite rejections.

Yeah, kind of. I mean you can see that most schools are close...I have a 3.something at most places. there are a few wacky places out there though...like Ohio State, theirs is crazy. In the end, your index doesn't matter so much except for qualifying you for automatic rejection or acceptance.

Congrats on Chapel Hill!!! I was just wondering, when did you send your app in???

Okay...

Thanks :) It is the last school I'm waiting on so when they send me something I can make a final decision.

At first Wake was because a lot of their students end up working in Charlotte and I go to undergrad there and I love it. But, I visited and the people were a little rude to say the least. Chapel Hill is a great school though. What is your first choice???
