Additional info & updates

June 26 - Got my LSAT score this morning, 169. Now to narrow in on which schools to apply to.

October 14 - Finishing up my applications and deciding which schools to actually send in applications to. I'd like to apply to a lot of places but just applying to law school is expensive! Hopefully I'll have a successful enough cycle to have a difficult choice in a few months.

December 8th - All applications are officially in. Exciting! Now all I can do is wait and hope.

December 8th - Already got the complete at minnesota email, that was quick.

December 22nd - First school I have hear back from is Georgia, and it's an acceptance! 1 for 1 feels much better than 0 for 1.

January 14th - Heard back from a second school: Pepperdine, and it offered me $25,000 scholarship that is renewable if I stay in the top third of the class. Close to home too, a very nice safety option.

January 27th - Rejected via email by Boalt. Not unexpected, I was never going to go perfect, so may as well get the taste of rejection out of the way.

January 29th - Woke up to see I was accepted to Illinois via email with a very nice $30,000/year.

January 30th - Accepted to Irvine with a half-scholarship all three years. It is definitely an intriguing option, especially if I don't get into UCLA or USC.

February 10th - In at Minnesota via email. More information in the mail next week, hopefully a scholarship! Nice to have a top 20 under the belt.

February 16th - Just got a phone call from back home, no good news. Rejection from UCLA which is absolute heartbreak, and waitlist from Indiana, which is surprising since I got such nice scholarships from similarly ranked schools. Hopefully better days are to come.

February 21st - Got another call from home, this time good news. $18,000 per year from Minnesota and I'm in at prestigious Vanderbilt! Very uplifting news after last week, any scholarship info coming next week or so from Vandy.

February 26th - Georgetown decided to pass via email and Michigan has offered me a spot on the waitlist, also via email. Not all bad

March 1st - Denied at Columbia and Penn, not unexpected. Waitlisted at Duke, which is exciting to still be alive there. The picture is starting to clear. (edit: Just got $54,000 from Vanderbilt! Nashville is probably in the lead at this point.)

March 31st - Visiting Vanderbilt tomorrow. If I like it there it will be between Vandy and USC (if I get an offer). There is also the possibility I could go to a T-14 if I get in off the waitlist. If for some reason I don't like Vandy I would have to take a look at Illinois, and the other CA schools I got into.

May 14th - Whoa, just got accepted to USC off the waitlist. I already sent in my seat deposit at Vandy, but I want to go into sports and entertainment law, so I have a BIG decision to make now in the next couple of weeks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats on Irvine! I noticed your decision date was a Saturday...did you get a phone call or a letter?

Very surprising with Indiana! I felt the same way after a large scholarship from Illinois. Wonder what happened.
