Additional info & updates

Scholarship amounts are 3 yr. totals

Large gap in Cumulative Across GPA and Degree GPA. Numbers are slightly adjusted for privacy

Did all of my applications on 1/3 and 1/4. Was waiting for the GPA bump from the Fall semester.

EDIT: Decided to expand my options by adding schools. Maybe a huge waste of time but may open a door or two we shall see!

First Update
1/18 - Indiana requested interview

1/19 - Submitted Applications to American, Iowa, IUI, Kent, Maryland, MSU, UVA, and Valpo.

1/21 - Combed through my e-mail and decided to apply to 2 final schools who sent waivers, Drexel and Tulane.

1/22 - Complete at UVA, Iowa, and Drexel...That was quick!

1/25 - Applied to William & Mary and UC-Hastings based on CRS Fee Waivers. W&M really interests me and I was surprised to get this waiver.

First Decision of the cycle is in and it is the preliminary waitlist at Iowa. Not great, but not a ding!

Also interview scheduled with Indiana.

ACCEPTED at John Marshall via e-mail. 1st Acceptance!

1/28 - ACCEPTED @ DePaul via status checker then e-mail!

1/31 - Got acceptance letter from JMLS, 8k scholly per year Top 1/3 stip. Not satisfied with the amount or stip, but better than nothing.

2/2 - Same scholly offer from DePaul but only stip is good academic standing in acceptance packet.

2/7 - Accepted to Syracuse via status checker!

2/11 - Rejected at Michigan, okay with it, was a total and complete stretch. Accepted at Valpo via status checker.

2/12 - Very excited, accepted to Drexel with a nice scholarship

2/16 - Had a great interview with IU Bloomington in Chicago, really enjoyed speaking with the 2 alumni. Valpo did not offer me any money so I snail mailed my withdrawal.

2/18 - Monday Bloody Monday - Rejected from American, Minnesota and Illinois, All 3 were reaches, saddened by U of I though.

2/21 - Waitlisted at MSU. Rejected from UC-Hastings. Disappointing, this has not been a good week for me.

2/22 - Week ends on a high note. Accepted to Chicago-Kent via status checker then e-mail with 10k per yer scholly no stips. Kent and IU Bloomington are officially my top 2. IF I get in to IU, this will be a tough call.

Applied to William Mitchell in Minnesota because my fiancee got into an honors undergraduate program at U of M

2/25 - Accepted into NIU via status checker. Very excited, the school is by far the least expensive in the Chicago-land area.

3/1 - E-mail acceptance from NIU

3/5 - Accepted at William Mitchell via status checker, letter apparently will come via snail mail.

3/8 - Waitlisted at Maryland via e-mail.

3/11 - Got acceptance packet from William Mitchell, 55% scholarship with 2.0 stip. This will be the choice if we end up moving to Minnesota.

Likely going to start sending in withdrawals to waitlists and a couple of accepted schools this week. Things are becoming more clear for me.

3/13 - Rejected from UVA, no surprise, not upset

3/14 Withdrawing from JMLS & DePaul due to scholly offers and USNWR ratings plunges. Also from Iowa, Maryland, and MSU due to waitlists and not having the flexibility to wait past 4/15.

3/15 - Waitlisted at Georgetown, shocked by this.

3/21 - Waitlisted at IU Bloomington. I really thought the interview went well and this was my top choice, so now it is time to reconsider.

3/27 - Dinged at W & M. Was no longer a viable option anyway.

3/28 - Waitlisted at Colorado. This cycle is likely going to drag into the summer with Georgetown, Indiana, and Colorado still in play. Kent also declined my negotiation. John Marshall upped their offer to 54,000

4/1 - Accepted at IU-Indy via e-mail, packet to follow in mail.

4/2 - Waitlisted at Tulane, will be withdrawing. Will also be withdrawing from Drexel and Syracuse.

Total cycle numbers: 9 Acceptances, 7 Rejections, 7 Waitlists.

4/4 - Withdrew from John Marshall. Having had negotiation attempts at William Mitchell and Chicago-Kent turned down, I am now leaning toward riding out the waitlist at G-Town, IU, and Colorado.

Yeah, Illinois took me aback a little, but who knows what pool of applicants they've had to choose from. It might work out, who knows. Watching your cycle, sending happy thoughts.

CONGRATS!

Best of luck to you as well! That extra LSAT point and killer GPA are going to open a lot more doors for you than I have, but I'm interested to see how your cycle goes! Are you looking to be in the Midwest? Or anywhere in particular?
