Additional info & updates

I did a little better than I thought I would. Had a tough choice between Michigan, Duke, and UCLA. Durham was a little too small for my liking, and I don't want to settle on the west coast. Michigan is a lot more expensive, but it seems like the best fit. Good luck everyone.

Scholarships are merit-based, some the product of re-evaluation.
----------------------------------------
-UVA deferral came in a regular envelope

-Vanderbilt acceptance was a large priority mail package with lots of very helpful information

-Northwestern "hold" was electronic

-UCLA acceptance was a phone call, much appreciated

-Georgetown was a package with a nice handwritten note from Andy C inside

-Michigan was a handsome blue folder with a letter from assistant dean and a dvd.

-Berkeley came via mail to my permanent address.

-Duke came via electronic mail with formal letter to follow. Formal offer of admission came in a nice blue folder.

-Very nice letter from Vanderbilt offering a Chancellor's Law Scholarship.

-Very nice letter from UCLA offering Dean's Scholarship.

-Duke scholarship was a great surprise. Letter came while I was attending the admitted student open house.

-I haven't seen the letter from UVA, but my status was updated on 3/28/08, which was a waitlist day for the school.

Mud Wrestling

I don't see how writing about mud wrestling possibly could habe been a mistake. The admissions committee probably found it highly amusing.
