11.30.08 - returned from Thanksgiving break to find a big white envelope from Denver. I'm going to law school! $17,000 per year scholarship and ample snowboarding opportunities make Denver look pretty good.

12.07.08 - Status checker at Indy indicates that a decision was mailed today.

12.12.08 - Medium-sized package from Indy; I'm in.

12.15.08 - Small rejection envelope from DePaul. Ouch.

12.19.08 - Email and letter from Franklin Pierce; $17,500 conditional scholarship.

12.26.08 - Large envelope from Buffalo received, with handwritten note from the Dean and a $3000 per year unconditional scholarship offer. Happy holidays!

01.13.09 - Status checker at Temple changes to "decision made on application." Admitted students have reported some congratulations message, so I guess that means I'm out.

01.14.09 - Small rejection envelope from Northeastern.

01.23.09 - Email from Case Western. In with $5000 International Human Rights Law scholarship.

01.24.09 - Big package from Syracuse with personal letter, t-shirt, bumper sticker, and folder. Nice touch. Nicer touch = $26,000 Dean's Scholarship. Too bad tuition is over $40k. Also in the mail - $10,000 out-of-state scholarship to Indy. Thought I'd do a little better there. Denver still makes the most compelling offer.

01.30.09 - Small but thick acceptance envelope from Pitt. No cash, but a hand-written note from the Assistant Dean and some sort of money/business card clip. Large packet from Albany also arrived today - the last hold out for a full ride. No dice, but they did offer me the $15,000/year Founder's Scholarship.

02.02.09 - Rejection letter from UConn and waitlist notification from American. Both in standard business envelopes.

Yeah...I'm in the same boat. I got a "decison mailed" and then I thought when they added that Fee status on the bottom that was a good sign that I would soon owe some money. But I didn't get a congrats letter. SO it looks like no Temple.

Question for you about the Indianapolis out-of-state scholarship. Is the amount you got per year, or is it going to be distributed over the three years you attend?
