The earlier you get familar with the LSAT and its way testing, the better. Postpone buying any actual Prep Tests. Instead, buy a Kraplan or PR book to get your feet wet. IMHO, extra-Cs mean Dick to the adcoms unless they are of extraordinary significance. For example, your teams are crowned national champions, volunteer work with aids kiddies in 3rd world countries, etc. etc. Remember You are only as good as last institution. College is a bigger pond What you did in HS and how you did in HS does not matter insofar as a prediction of college success. Enjoying academics/class/HW will make college ALOT easier. Imerse yourself in enjoyable subjects. Do things for the sake of learning, watch out for grade-A tunnel vision. Develop a genuine rapport and relationship with your professors. Not only for the sake of recs but because your profs may be some of the most interesting people you will ever meet. Love to learn, read, and think critically. Don't be an academic A-hole Listen to good music: Yo-La-Tengo = awsome. :) Keep things in perspective, grow as a person, stay away from bad box. Good Luck

Whoa now, this guy is not even a minority. Lets stop the attacking this guy for his aspirations. We should be fostering and guiding instead of ridiculing. Yes NYCK, working with people like this is one of the drawbacks of law. Actually, they are everywhere. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. -Dr. Suess

Who is this March you're going to return on? Is she one of the fat girls? Guess what assmaster...this account won't be usable in 2008...the DB sticks you into the year you enter the schools you're applying.

One good thing about being so focused on your future is that you MAY not play around too much during college. My first year (okay, all but my last year of college) I partied quite a bit and had to work hard to bring that GPA back up. Hopefully, you remain focused because second only probably to your LSAT score- your GPA is a major determining factor in getting into a good law school. Also, try to get some volunteering in while in college- it is a very rewarding experience. Good Luck

I hope you actually know what you are getting into. From the looks of a lot of stuff on this page (your what you will do in college, high school activities, desire to transfer up, and want to sign up for like every activity you can think of) it seems like you might just be doing law school because it sounds impressive. Research what law school is really about and make sure that you have no problem working 80 hour days. Also, there is no way you will be able to play varsity football and basketball if you weren't invited on scholarship at SU, and if you did you wouldn't have time for those other activities. Reality man... As a thought, the LSAT is like 100x more important than the SAT (which im assuming you might have not killed based on your desire to transfer up). Good luck in whatever you decide, I just wanted to add some "constructive reality." Also, I am about two seconds from calling this account flame.

Seriously

Who cares? Your dreams are absolutely no one's business. Best of luck in college--it goes by very quickly.
