Your GPA isn't crappy, Berkeley just has high GPA standards. GL with NYU (if that's your first choice), otherwise you're set.

Congrats on Berkeley! Although, considering Berkeley's my #1 and you're my Almost Numbers Twin, I'd love it if you chose NYU instead :D

Congrats on Berkeley! I've been stalking their LSN page trying to play the numbers game. I REALLY want to get in, but not sure with my GPA. You have excellent extracurriculars, so I can see why your self-described "crappy" GPA was overlooked. I'm under committee review, which means about a 16% change of getting in (1/8 are accepted post-Dean Tom review... which is better odds than making it past Dean Tom).
