do you know if being Middle Eastern is considered as a minority by law schools? I am Egyptian and Im not sure what category I fall under.
- maria3We have similar numbers and are applying to some of the same schools! Good luck!
- smsheyy.. just wanted to say good luck this cycle... we have similar number and are applying to a bunch of the same schools. My apps just went complete a few weeks ago b/c I didnt get the apps out until mid-December, but I'm hoping to get into NYLS too. What's your no. 1?
- ss315hi, fellow international applicant! looks like you know where you're heading for this fall. just wanted to say good luck at New York!
- regine03Awesome man, looks like you've had an interesting life. Do you think you're going to live in the school's apartment building or are you going to look for a place somewhere else? I'm pretty amped for the new building, it looks incredible. They may have to drag me out of the library! hahaha
- epicacYeah, I want to, but rent is just crazy, i want to spend about half what the apartment costs. So I'll probably be in Brooklyn, about 30-45 minutes away on the subway. Hopefully I can find some other students to live with, we'll see.
- epicacYeah, I'm interested in Brooklyn because my gf lives in the middle of it and can get to her job in Manhattan in about 40 minutes. If the school's apartment building were closer than 20 minutes I'd be interested, but I figure I may as well live outside Manhattan to save some money. And I'm definitely in for next year, I'm sending in the first seat deposit today.
- epicacThanks Congratulations to you too. I'm from Queens, NY so I wont have to worry about where to live. Looks like you like to travel a lot. Im sure that must have been great experience. Only place Ive been internationally is Greece where I lived several years. Good luck in your housing search.
- xiotaki86I haven't sent in the 2nd deposit - I have, however, sent in a roommate request form that was in the housing packet they sent. They won't even look at it until July, but I nerded out and sent it in early.
- epicacYeah I am heading to NYLS I believe. I think they have a great program. Congrats on your acceptance. I might listen to Hofstra if they offer me a spot in the class, but I really think NYLS would be a great opportunity.
