Hey, we have similar numbers. I hope you have a great cycle. I'm also waiting on LORs...the suspense is killing me...
I would send your recommenders a friendly email asking if they need any other information that might help them write the letters. I called LSAC and they said it takes about 1-2 weeks to process a letter as received from when it reaches them...
Hey SMS, I just found out that you don't need to have your letters processed to send in your apps. The schools will receive your LORs as they come in. Hope this speeds up your process!
I need the pointers. I plan on kicking ass and transferring anyway, so I will definitely put in apps to Hofstra and Pace. Good luck with your cycle!
I'll probably give them a few more days before I call, probably until next week at least.
UGA finally requested my LSDAS report, did they request yours?
We have similar numbers and Im in Illinois too. Hoping to get in to UGA with scholarship. Good Luck with your cycle!!!
i was just wondering did you apply early decision to hofstra? I'm also waiting to go complete there and wondering how long its going to take good luck this cycle
I have finally showed up on UGA's status checker and they told me that my report would be requested by the end of this week...good luck and keep me posted!!!
yes, it feels so good to be accepted somwhere..it was through snail mail and a call from the Dean of Admissons..
Hey..thanks for the warm wishes. I am from MD, but i am now living in Colorado. it's not my first choice but definitely one of my top 4..i am really striving to get into Boalt or NU Law..they have great public interest focuses..do you have a top choice?
thats so cool..ive never been to cali, but i hear it is beautiful..do you think USD will give you a scholarship?
thanks for the info. appreciate it
Thanks, SMS! Good luck with UCLA. I'm sure you'll be hearing some good news soon.
We've got similar numbers and are applying to many of the same California schools. Thanks for all the info in your notes section. I'll be watching your profile to keep me sane. Good luck!!!
Hey, thanks for stopping by! Of UIUC and UCLA, I would choose UCLA for the experience, the weather, and their African-American Studies Dept. However, in-state tuition at (and being able to drive home on one a half tank of gas) makes UIUC very attractive. Good luck this cycle!

Yes, we do have similar numbers :) good luck with the cycle... I'll add you to my watchlist
It states "decision, letter mailed" on the status checker online. This was Tuesday and I am expecting the letter today, based on others' turnaround times on LSN. I hope it's an acceptance! Seems like some people get rejected this early in the game by UIUC but most decisions now are acceptances. So there's a chance but who knows? I am holding out hope. Good luck on your schools.
Thanks for the kind words, and good luck with your cycle. I'm sure you will be hearing good news from many of the schools on your list...no worries. Good luck especially w/ UIUC...I'm waiting to hear from them as well.
Thanks, I hope it turns out well, i let my schools know in an addendum that i was taking it over and to please consider my application incomplete until they receive it, because i was hoping my new score would have an impact.. But now the wait is driving me crazy.. lol
I just got my letter today. Big envelope with just papers. Don't sweat it, I'm sure you're in if they've decided on you already! Here is a preemptive congratulations. Now if you get rejected, you know who to blame for jinxing it. Haha, just kidding. Don't fret. It was 6 days for me from decision to the letter in my mailbox.
I just wanted to say how happy I am for you! Now I need some love sent my way...:-( lol I'm sure I'll hear soon but the wait is killer...
Mine changed today too. 4 days between In Review to Decision. I sure hope that isn't bad news!
Oh, that's awesome. Congrats! Nice $$$ amount too!
on UIUC!!!
I'm not sure what my first choice is yet. I definitely hope they will give me some money if I do decide to go. It's definitely a factor for me. UIUC is certainly a top choice of mine, though, out of all my acceptances. Blows my mind I've hit the T25.
Congrats on UIUC girl! see..you were all worried..their scholarship offers make it so tempting. im definitely going down for a visit in Feb..how about you?

How did the Chapman notification come if you don't mind my asking?
yes, I will most likely do one of the preview days in March..how far is UIUC from the airport?

I am so happy for you! Congrats! Nice money too! I feel as though there is hope for me yet
Wow, congratulations! That acceptance must have felt wonderful. I am highly considering it; i just wish I knew more about living in Urbana-Champaign...
Looks like we may be classmates. Although I am still waiting for a couple of scholarships to hopefully come through.
I guess I need a few more to catch up to you! I know you're gonna love UCLA when you get accepted, it's a beautiful campus in a nice part of LA if there is such a thing.
$40,000?!? For a state school? Wow, Berkeley is only $11,000 for in state from what I remember. Colorado is a nice school and I wouldn't exactly call it a safety in that I didn't have a great shot at getting in but my fiancee is applying to grad schools so everything has to match up. We'll see where we end up.
Hey, thanks. I'm excited about Emory, however if I get in any of the T14 schools I think...I know I'm going to have to give that up. Goodluck on your apps as well, congrats on your acceptances so far.
On American. I'm sure you're going to get into San Diego but UIUC has to be hard to turn down, especially with money.
Yeah, it sucks. I wouldn't bet on you getting accepted but I also wouldn't count you out. The lower admits in the previous years were blacks from CA so your shot is much better than mine, especially when coupled with your higher GPA. Keep hope alive ;) UIUC with $20k doesn't seem like too bad of a backup, no? Congrats on that significant cash.
Hey SMS! Congrats on the new acceptances! I am rooting for you and San Diego..
Thanks for the encouragement, and congratulations on all your acceptances thus far! I hope you get into the schools you want to =)
Look, I'd gladly trade my Japanese language ability for your LSAT score. GLAAADLY! Thanks for the kind words... it's all so exciting!
to get off that waitlist and get into the top law school in Los Angeles!!!
Haha, that's awesome that you weren't rejected at UCLA. See my theory on black URMs in CA? Good luck getting off of it! I'm rooting for you, too.
Yeah I went undergrad there. I love the school. But you have to like going to school in a downtown environment. Some people don't like it because its in the middle of downtown Atlanta, but I love going to school in the city versus a traditional campus. Ive visited the law school many times and even sat in on a class or 2 and I was impressed. Why do you hate Atlanta?
Thats funny. I used to live in Moreno Valley CA, and I hate it in Cali, so I understand where you are coming from. I was raised in NY so Atl is a happy medium for me. I see you got waitlisted at UCLA, thats great, great school.
This is too weird. Yes, the school I go to does start with a B. I am also in several of the pretty small clubs that you're in as well. Cool ... now I have to find out who you are without being creepish. Eitherway congrats on a stellar cycle. UIUC, PAC, American, UCLA (wl)... what a great batch you've got going for you.
I wanted to post a message here but I've secretly placed it into the email spot so only you can view it. That's you, right? ;)
Did you tell your schools about this? Is that the huge soft factor for your applications? Haha. It was on the internet somewhere. ;)
Alright, alright, how about this one? ;) I'll tell you how in the email of my next posting.
Here's the answer.
Yeah, delaying homework :( I'm glad I found something funny, though. That Harry Potter thing is gold! You'll have to share more for us :P
On all your acceptances!!! Have you already decided where you want to go in the fall?
USD is saved for last lol. I'm pulling for you but otherwise, congrats and I hope you enjoy law school. Thanks for all the kind words during this cycle, it's been pretty strenuous.
Right now I'm leaning towards GWU because I want to do government work after school so they seem like the best option for me. But honestly I'm not sure where I'll end up. I haven't visited anywhere yet so that and fin aid will help me make a decision. I'm just thankful to have a choice. Where do you plan on practicing? Do you know yet?
Heyy, did your GSU status ever say "In review by committee" or something like that? and if it did, how long did it say that?
I'm pulling for you to get off that waitlist and become a Bruin!
On U of I, we may be classmates.
Hey! First of all, congrats on all of your acceptances! Im so jealous. Secondly, I was wondering what negative things youve heard about American so that I can talk myself out of wanting to go there, haha. Thanks for the insight. Best of luck!
I heard about my decision last thursday and got a scholarship offer yesterday. I am going part time but have a friend who was admitted and didnt hear about any money until almost a month after her acceptance so hang in there! usd is amazing!
On UIUC and your cycle being over. Looks like we may be classmates. I go to U of I for undergrad so let me know if you have any questions.
Is actually pretty good, a lot of the apartment complexes off campus here have either shuttle to campus, or a bus stop next to it. I have a car but only really use it to get to work. In a nutshell, you won't have a problem getting to and from the law school on the bus system.
Congrats on UIUC. You're pursuing that UCLA WL? If so, good luck! I want to see a "WL, Accepted" there!!
Congrats on UIUC..it's such a great school!
Hey there, Ready for graduation!? Congrats on U of I. I'm still deferred there and waiting to here back. Not really holding my breath though. It's a great school, congrats.
hey SMS, we have similar numbers..just wanted to wish you luck this cycle! You are on my watchlist..are you coming straight from undergrad?
