01/07-getting a rejection off the bat sucks. Talk about a spirit breaker. I liked the idea of living/working in Denver. It's close to the mountains and there is a lot of outdoor activities. Not too unfortunate I did not get in, but it would have been nice to make the decision myself not to attend DU.

02/09- A little advice: if you are banking on SU and really want to attend the school, DO NOT CHECK THE ONLINE CHECKER FREQUENTLY! I did this, and when it changed to "decision mailed" on 02/06/06, I was way too anxious for the rest of the week!

But what an adrenaline rush opening my little mailbox! I saw that big packet and was pumped! Yeah! I get to stay in Seattle!

I definitely like Seattle a lot. While my disappointing LSAT score inhibits me from applying to UW with any chance in hell of getting in, I think that SU is a great alternative. I think the school is definitely becoming more competitive and will continue to do so. It has a great location in Seattle, and a great facility. The school has become much better after it moved from UPS in Tacoma....I think it will be a major contender for the top Washington spot in the next decade--at least a contender with our southern neighbor's best schools!

Unless SCU and Willamette offers me something very enticing, I am definitely going to be at SU next year!

After looking at your thread, I feel ya on the stresses of applying! Esp. when you get a rejection right off the bat... Too many unknowns we are all dealing with, especially those who did not kill the LSAT or (looks like in your case) withdrew from a few too may clases.... What do you think about seattle u deffering so many apps?

yeah

but why wouldn't SU just send out nothing at all and wait to decide on an app? That's what's confusing to me...

except in my case. I am the only one SU applicant on LSN that went complete early, but still has not yet received a decision. I honestly dunno if this is good or bad, albeit I like to imagine the glass half full.

Hey- How did you find out the decision of SU? Online, or mail?

thanks

for your comment. yes, I'm definitely kicking myself for having waited so long to take the LSAT (I took the Feb. LSAT). if things don't work out this year w/ SU, I'll definitely have my application on Oct. 1 next cycle. when you say that "The acceptance percentage really takes nose dive for those who go complete later than December" - where are you getting that info from? it just seems to me that a whole lot of people w/ low numbers who apply early are deferred until quite a bit later (which suggests that applying early may not make such a difference). just curious. thanks again for your post.

thanks for your advice...I've taken it, and everyone elses (but mostly my parents) to heart and have decided to hope for some good news from the two cali schools left. good luck in SU - and if you run into anyone named sunshine, tell her hi for me :)
