12-18-06: In at Duke. Big blue package with personalized letter.

12-20-06: Georgetown status-checker says "Decision."

12-20-06: Phone call from Toby Stock.

12-23-06: In at Georgetown. Small envelope with hand-written note.

12-26-06: In at NYU. Purple folder in mail.

01-06-07: In at USC. Small envelope with acceptance and big envelope with more information.

01-08-07: Phone call from Toby Stock. In at HLS!!!

01-10-07: In at Vandy. Small Envelope.

01-11-07: Large book from Vandy (the "Obiter Dictum") with a bunch of info about the school and area. Pretty cool actually.

February: Invited to apply for Rothman Scholarship at USC and Dean's Scholar Program at Georgetown, but declined. Received notification of $66,000 scholarship at Duke.

2-16-07: E-mail from Penn placing my application in the "hold" category.

2-22-07: Missed phone call from Chicago.

2-23-07: Chicago acceptance by e-mail.

03-01-07: E-mail from Michigan offering a spot on their waitlist.

03-05-07: Letter from Vanderbilt offering Chancellor's Law Scholarship for $25k/yr

03-26-07: Letter from Chicago offering $36,000 scholarship paid over 3 years.

05-02-07: The innevitable rejection from Stanford finally arrived.

I took an LSAT prep-course from a company called Blueprint. It's about a 3-month class and it was a huge help. I highly recommend it. As for the fee-waivers, the schools just sent them (I believe its because they saw my lsat score). Good luck with the admissions process.

How did Northwestern have the audacity to waitlist you? I guess they don't like us Californians. Not that it matters much for you, since you're prolly going to Harvard. Congrats!
