Additional info & updates

***Scholarship amounts are for all three years***

Got an apartment in Newton and will be at BC next fall!!!

BC deposit sent! Waiting to see if Fordham tries to change my mind.

Well, that wraps up my cycle. On to the actual decision. The only schools I am considering(given current scholly situation) are BC, Fordham and Cardozo...

I think that every school I was accepted to dropped in the rankings...Coincident?

Applied to Notre Dame today, since I grew up in Indiana and like the flexibity/reputation for service work. Interestingly, I think I applied to all of the Jesuit instiutions now...

Applied to WashU today, since they sent me a waiver and it's a great school in a part of the country I didn't have an option. 2/20

Rejected at Georgetown. I'm pretty sure they didn't understand how good I am at fantasy basketball and football. I just don't know how that gets overlooked...2/5

Decision rendered at Loyola Law School via Status Check. Don't know the results. 2/4 UPDATE*** Accepted, with 7.5k/yr with 3.2 GPA Stip. Don't like this offer at all and will most certainly withdraw. 2/6

Accepted at UC-Boulder via email. No scholarship info yet. I can't gauge my interest here until I see a scholarship. 2/1 ***UPDATE 16k for first year 2/27

Accepted at Cardozo via phone. 18k/per year (2.95 GPA Stip). Status Checker unchanged. I like Cardozo, so this is exciting. Definitely a good NYC option. 1/29

Accepted to BK Law via email. No Scholarship info yet. Need a big scholarship here. *** UPDATE-Got 30k/yr renewable with a top 80% stip 1/22

Applied to Washington and Lee. I applied because there is no fee, want a top 30 option in the DC area and like their small size. 1/14 Forgot to send my LORs...everything sent 1/23

Rejected at GW. It's a downer, but that's life. Really upset from an ego perspective, but I can't bat 1.000 forever. Here's lookin at you Georgetown... 1/10

Applied to Georgetown Law Binding ED because 1) it would be a dream come true and 2) I haven't been rejected anywhere yet and I felt like I wasn't trying hard enough. GULC website states I'll hear back in 3 weeks or less. Hopefully this hot streak continues... 1/7

Accepted at Northeastern via phone call. This is pretty much off the table given the other acceptances. 1/4 UPDATE*** Northeastern offered 20k/yr. 1/9 Withdrew 1/21

Accepted to BC Law! Couldn't be more pumped about it. Found out via email, no scholarship offers yet. I will be very happy if this is the school I end up attending! 1/3

Waitlistd at Fordham. I'm not surprised, although, it would have been nice to keep the acceptance streak alive. Guess its a letter writting, badgering, waiting game now. 12/11

Accepted to American via email! Pretty excited. Really love the school and its programs. Still waiting to hear back from the School of International Service for my Dual-Degree. Haven't heard about money. 12/6 - UPDATE** Accepted into JD/MA in International Affairs UPDATE** Was given $7,500 to off set first year tuition. Emailed the admissions office to see if I could get any more money and they said no. Withdrew. 1/30

Applied to William and Mary because they waived my fee and I really like their location and size. 12/4

Accepted at University of Denver with 26k a year w 3.0 Stip. Happy, but is one of my back ups. 11/29 (Hand written note on acceptance letter applauding my personal statement.) Withdrew 2/7

First response is acceptance from Miami. No immediate scholarship offer, disappointing, but still possible. This was my fallbacks fallback. 11/27 - UPDATE** Miami gave me 20k/yr w 3.2 Stip 12/21 Withdrew 1/21

Now applications are in for Denver U, Colorado- Boulder, Northeastern (JD/MA), and Miami 11/12

Just put in my first applications in today! GW, American (JD/MA), BC, Fordham, Brooklyn, Cardozo and LMU! - 11/5

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to send me that message. I appreciate your insight. I agree with a lot of what you said (especially because I'm a couple of years closer to starting a family and the $ will be a bigger issue) but nothing is a done deal yet (except the fact that Penn, NYU & CLS will ding me). I still have to see Dozo because I have some reservations. Enough about me, though. Great cycle so far and hopefully it continues that way. How did you come up with a percentage of confidence in you admittance for the predictor. I know it spits out %s to you but you also put your gut feelings in as %s? That's pretty funny and unique. I wish I thought of it first. You have some generous offers out there but I know ou're looking for bigger game. I didn't love Georgetown when I visited but you always have to go t14 if given the chance. I hope you get yours!

congats on your acceptances!

Did you apply to Cardozo's part time program or full time? Congrats on the acceptance!! I'm still waiting to hear back. So nerve racking !

Thanks and congrats!

Hey there, Thanks for the kind and helpful comments. I agree with you as to UC being my best option in terms of bang for the buck. It's the best school I've gotten into and also is one of the most affordable. Still have a few in mind right now though - I like FIU for the reason that I could live at home with in-state tuition, SLU because I'd live with my girlfriend and they gave me a huge scholarship, and UC for the obvious reason. I was Waitlisted today by Indiana, so I don't know how that'll turn out. And like you said, even if I do end up gaining acceptance to IU and Emory, I'd be paying sticker and that's not worth it, IMO. Since you gave me your opinion, I'll offer mine (I hope it's as good as yours was for me). The only school we both applied to is UMiami and I see you've withdrawn your app there (I don't blame you). I see you've been accepted to BC - wow what a great school. I'm sure it'll cost an arm and a leg, but the reputation of the school and respect of a BC degree is something to think about. I think that Dozo is your best option right now though, assuming you would be okay with living in New York. Hopefully you get into W&M and W&L and are offered $$ from those schools. Then I'd say any of the three are good options - I would choose the school that gives you the best outcome in debt limitation. But hopefully you don't have to worry about any of these factors in weighing your options - Georgetown! I wish you luck with GULC. Hopefully your dream of Georgetown comes true and if not, the rest of your options will lead you down a forward moving path. Thank you and good luck.

Congratulations so far on all your acceptances! BC, Wow that's huge. My short list is pretty much DU, Utah, Wisconsin, and CU and UW (if they let me in). I see you also got into CU today! I am jealous. Hopefully I will get and acceptance soon!

Hey, Congrats on getting into a slew of fantastic schools! Does your Cardozo scholarship have any stipulations? Thanks, Benjamin
