What an awesome improvement! I took a class and studied a ton before my first and only attempt. Decided to move forward with what I had, which has worked out pretty well. Common theme in my life=overcoming standardized test skills. It's possible :). Have you visited any of your schools?

Very excited about WashU!! There is a good chance I'll end up there but lots to consider still. You're right, it'll be very interesting to see where everyone decides to go. "Extraordinary" might be a strong word to describe my softs but they are pretty good...legal internship, study abroad at Cambridge, volunteerism, extensive campus involvement and leadership including two years as an RA and elected positions. Well-crafted and personalized PS and excellent rec letters. I can't say for sure what made them take a chance on me but I feel very blessed :).
I chose the schools that I did based on their environmental law programs and on location. I'll take your comment as a compliment, but I feel like the schools that I applied to are good schools and I am proud of getting the acceptances and scholarships that I have gotten. I want to go somewhere on the east coast because that's where my family is and I would prefer to be someplace warm. I looked at the ranked environmental programs and made my decision that way! Congrats on Cornell and best of luck with the rest of your cycle!

I actually haven't chosen WashU yet. Notre Dame admitted me off the wait list several days ago, which was always my first choice. Things have gotten very complicated!
Yes, I was VERY surprised to get a call from MN with an acceptance just three weeks after I submitted my application. And very grateful, of course, that some schools are willing to look past a mediocre score. Definitely my top choice so far! You have impressive stats and a stellar list of schools...Best of luck!
