Additional info & updates

Currently Under Review at:
Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, NYU, Michigan, and UVA

Hoping to start the cycle off with an acceptance!

11/29/11

In at Georgetown! via snail mail with a handwritten note. Nothing about any scholarship money though. Still a great way to start the cycle!

12/15/11
In at NYU and UVA via phone calls! $75,000 scholarship to UVA also. So excited!

12/26/11
Priority reserve at Duke... not a Merry Christmas :/

1/6/12
Still no word from Michigan, Harvard, or Stanford- expecting waitlists and dings. Best case scenario at Harvard is a hold, though I'm not too optmistic. Probably even worse at Stanford since my GPA is low.

1/9/12
Held at Michigan today. Already sent a Why Mich? so I probably won't send an LOCI, at least for now.

Got updated at Chicago so I'm hoping to hear from them and Penn soon.

Harvard holds went out today, didn't get one, so I'm guessing I might be in the next round of dings..

1/17/12
Held at Harvard and WLed at Chicago this past weekend.

1/20/12
In at Penn via phone call! What a great day!

2/1/12
Accepted to Duke! I was asked to update my grades- emailed them an unofficial transcript and promised to send an official version soon, but they replied right away to accept me via email!

2/16/12
Withdrew from GULC.

2/23/12
In at Michigan with a scholarship! No word on the amount yet, but the letter came with a handwritten note saying "we will be making you a scholarship award."

2/25/12
$54,000 at Michigan! Still no word from my 3 highest ranked schools (H, S, Columbia). Not expecting much but maybe I can sneak in at one of them..

3/5/12
I'm going to proceed for now as if I'm out at those 3 schools. Right now UVA is looking like my top choice with that $75K scholarship.

4/3/12
In at Columbia via email!! So excited. Haven't heard anything from them since I went complete.

4/4/12
Withdraw from Duke, Michigan, Virginia, Penn, and NYU today.

4/20/12
Out at Stanford. Probably going to withdraw from Harvard.

edit: Whoops! Looks like that's a waitlist at Stanford! I thought the "Decision Letter Sent" on the status checker was an automatic ding. Still alive! (technically)

5/1/12
Well, it's all over! Got waitlisted at Harvard and will be withdrawing all of my applications. Thrilled about getting into Columbia but I figure I'll put law school on hold for a little. Good luck to all future applicants!

I have similar numbers to you and got my apps in a few days after you; needless to say I will be watching your cycle closely. Best of luck!

Thanks and congrats

Thanks! You're having quite a good cycle so far too. Sweet LSAT score, btw! Hopefully we'll both snag HYS. Good luck to you as well!

Thanks for the message :) Beyond jealous of that LSAT score - you're going to have an awesome cycle, I'll definitely be watching!

Congrats on the acceptances thus far. With such an amazing LSAT score, I think a perfect cycle is very likely (even as a splitter). Any idea where you wanna end up?

Thanks! It's not actually a full scholarship-- the Darrow covers up to full tuition--but I would be able to go there for a pretty reasonable price! I will keep my fingers crossed that we both snag some great things soon! Good luck.

Thanks, man! Congrats to you on Michigan (probably with $$$)! I bet you'll get Columbia and at least one of H or S before it's all over. Good luck. I'll be rooting for both of us!

Thanks!

Thanks growlithe! I've been following your cycle as well, quite a collection of acceptances. Bodes well for H, S and C I think!

Columbia

Thanks :) I'm excited, but pretty uncomfortable with the idea of going to Columbia at sticker so hopefully they'll come through with some $$s to make it a viable option. I feel positive that you're going to get at least one of C or H - keep hope alive!!

Sorry, dude. That Columbia post should be from me but I wasn't logged in
