I removed some details about me so I don't get identified before the cycle is over. When I'm done with this process, I will re-post the relevant info.

My username is a facetious 30 Rock reference, not an attempt to be crass. :)

Submitted a GPA addendum. Also sent a PS and a DS to every school. Did not write Why X essays.

10/29/11 - Finished sending in apps. So it begins!! Hoping for a quick and easy cycle.

11/2/11 - So far I am complete at Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Chicago, Penn, Duke, Georgetown, UCLA, and USC. Officially under review at Harvard and Stanford!!!

11/17/11 - First acceptance of the cycle at Georgetown today!!! Also got a handwritten note from Dean Cornblatt which was a nice touch. VERY EXCITED! :)

11/22/11 - Finally UR at Berkeley. Maybe they'll get back to me quickly??

11/25/11 - Accepted at GW. Cool. No mention of scholarship $, though.

11/29/11 - It has been a slow week so far. I am getting a bit antsy waiting for decisions from schools, which apparently should start trickling out during the first week of December. I guess if I'm lucky... Keeping fingers crossed!!

11/30/11 - IN at Michigan via ASW!! Very happy about this one :)

12/6/11 - Darrow Scholarship invite from Michigan!!!

12/7/11 - I am apparently complete and under review at Northwestern despite the fact that I never received confirmation that my application had been received or that my interview information had been submitted. WEIRD.

12/8/11 - Accepted at Cornell via email! Sweet.

12/12/11 - My NYU status checker says "decision letter sent". Fingers crossed for good news! EDIT: Could log into the ASW, so I guess I'm IN!!!! So so excited. :)

12/17/11 - Beautiful purple envelope arrived from NYU. Amazing.

12/19/11 - Accepted at Berkeley via email!! Surprised because I know how much they love sky high GPAs. I love California so this is really great!

1/5/12 - Waitlisted at UCLA. Prob wouldn't have gone anyway. Trying not to read too much into this since I've already gotten into some great schools! Hopefully 2012 will bring better things soon!

1/10/12 - Darrow Scholarship at Michigan!!! Super cool! Fingers crossed for more great things in 2012.

1/13/12 - Held at Harvard. Not surprised but trying to remain hopeful... Maybe they'll come around and realize they'd love to have me there? Fingers crossed. Now to work on that LOCI!

1/13/12 - In at Chicago via phone call!!!! So so excited and happy. This has been an eventful day!

1/18/12 - Waitlisted at Penn via status checker. Lame. Oh well. Maybe not writing a Why Penn hurt my chances.

1/19/12 - Withdrew from UCLA's wait list today. Will be withdrawing from Penn's sooner than later.

1/23/12 - Accepted at UVA via phone call! Great. I wasn't expecting this one since I applied so long ago and had heard nothing from them. No mention of scholarship money on the call, though.

1/30/12 - Withdrew from Penn's wait list today. Knew I probably wouldn't attend, so I didn't see the point of riding the list until May or later.

2/1/12 - Got a hold email at Northwestern. I'm a little bummed because I really liked the school. Oh well, what can you do? I could use some more good news soon, though!!

2/2/12 - Looks like the law school gods heard my request for good news. ACCEPTED AT COLUMBIA TODAY VIA VCE IN THE MAIL!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so stoked I don't know what to do with myself. Note: I freaked out when I didn't hear anything last week, but that turned out to have just been wasted energy. Don't lose hope future applicants!

2/6/12 - Accepted at USC via snail mail! Cool. Although it's a little awkward since I was seriously considering withdrawing this week. Oh well, grateful for good news nevertheless.

2/9/12 - Accepted at Duke via email! Great. That only took an eternity. Not that I hold a grudge against the PTers or anything :-)

3/3/12 - General update: I've had about a month with no movement. Updating my profile to reflect merit-based scholarships I received at Chicago and GULC! Will be withdrawing from some schools very soon-- I've been a little reluctant to start withdrawing because it feels so final, but I need to cull down this list a little so I can begin to focus on the schools that will be the best fit for me. Hopefully Harvard and Stanford will come around with positive news sometime soon! Fingers crossed.

3/8/12 - $60K Dean's Scholarship at NYU!! Must respond by April 6th, though. Gosh, this is going to be difficult.

3/9/12 - Withdrew from GW and USC.

3/10/12 - Received nice scholarship offer from Duke today! I like the school, I just don't know about living in the South...

4/3/12 - Withdrew from Northwestern (previously held), Cornell, and Georgetown. More withdrawals coming very soon.

4/10/12 - Withdrew from Duke. Also getting seriously worried about my chances at Stanford after today's URM acceptance wave. Trying to keep hope alive! Hopefully I will hear good news soon, because this wait has been pretty rough!!

4/12/12 - Chicago updated my scholarship package. Unfortunately it isn't much more than before, and definitely not enough to be a game changer. Decisions, decisions.

4/15/12 - Withdrew from Chicago.

4/24/12 - Received $75K Dean's Fellowship from Berkeley.

4/26/12 - Received $30K from Columbia after appeal (they originally gave me $25K). Ugh, I really liked Columbia more than NYU. Why did they have to not match my NYU offer?

4/27/12 - DLS at Stanford via status checker. Called the office and I'm wait listed. Damn. I still love Stanford, so I guess I'll be riding it out.

4/28/12 - Withdrew from UVA after being given the runaround about scholarship money. Also turned down the Dean's Scholarship at NYU and withdrew.

4/30/12 - Turned down the Darrow at Michigan. Just couldn't see myself up there despite the $$$. Decision about next year imminent!

5/1/12 - Declined Dean's Fellowship and withdrew from Berkeley. Sent my deposit to Columbia. NYC here I come!

Note: Will stay on the Stanford wait list and wait for Harvard to give me a decision. Cycle almost complete!

5/9/12 - Wait listed at Harvard. Goodness knows it took them long enough. Not too bummed because I saw this coming from a mile away. Would love to go to HLS, so I'll be staying on until the end.

early September 2012- After a long, agonizing summer on the wait list, finally rejected at HLS and at SLS. Tough luck.
