Some awards and honors but none of the superstar Rhodes-y stuff

Wrote a Why Michigan? essay and a diversity statement which I sent to: Michigan, Columbia, Duke and Harvard.

Did a campus visit and interview at Michigan.

I had typos. Bad typos.

I will def be going to admit weekends at Boalt, Michigan and Harvard if you'll be there lemme know.

4/2 -- After months and months of nothing, I got into Stanford! Dream come true! I went to the admitted students weekend, and really think its the perfect fit. Palo Alto here I come!

4/15 -- Sent enrollment deposit!

12/05 -- In by e-mail! Missed a phone call earlier that day from Berkeley area code, so can also come by phone!
04/15 -- Despite a great time at Boalt's admit weekend, I didn't receive a matching grant, so I think Stanford it is!

12/04 -- Phone Call w/ Dean Stock -- exactly 7 mins by my cell phone timer
12/13 -- Second phone call from Toby Stock!

4/15 -- After receiving the "deferral" letter back in Feb, I got waitlisted at Yale today by e-mail.

12/06/07 -- Invited to apply for Rothman at USC, not sure I will

2/11/08 -- Full tuition scholarship! Doesn't say exact amount, so I'll go w/ $135,000

Received a fee waiver letter, and an e-mail about a dean's scholarship.

Knew I was in by status checker, but heard nothing until I received a big packet in the mail, follow-up e-mail from Dean Z about a week later, scholarship offer by snail mail about a week after email.

1/9 -- Invited to apply for Darrow by e-mail!
1/30 -- Darrow!

Official Darrow letter arrived -- $135,000 + $7,500 at end of first year

In by phone call day before Thanksgiving, sent me a nice e-card on my bday. Scholarship letter actually arrived before the packet, which took more than a week to arrive.

Got a phone call from a student who went to my undergrad in early December.

Received a Townes-Rice full tuition scholarship!

1-17-08: Accepted by very small envelope that I was sure was a rejection! Mentions I have been named Dean's Scholar, but won't know amount until I file FAFSA; letter says will prob. be at least half.
