Extra Curricular Information

I'm 21, Married, and have been working Full Time for the State of CA and going to college Full Time at a Private university. I messed up my first year of college while playing intercollegiate football and got a 2.4, but since then have redeemed myself by putting together a lot of As.

THE THINGS GOING FOR ME: Having a loaded schedule means I've been able to get a lot of Work Experience. Also, I've had a rough time getting to this point. I'm a URM, first generation high school graduate, was homeless for a time, and all of it really motivated me. Hopefully all that translates into a good personal statement.

THE THINGS GOING AGAINST ME: Since I've had a full schedule I haven't had too much time for other extracurriculars, although I have put a few hours into the local Legal Aid Society. I've also been to three different undergrad institutions, leaving the first after a year because of expense, then transitioning to a community college for a year, then finishing my degree at my current school.

Good luck on the Sep LSAT! Your scoring history sounds parallel to mine -- I'm making my way toward 176 and Stanford too. I'm glad to have the company.

Congrats Man

You'll probably read after after the test (I hope), but your story is inspiring.. I wish you nothing but the best (which is 170+, of course). -J
