Attended Syracuse in 2012 for one semester. Reapplying after years of dissatisfaction with career and nagging feeling I should never have left law school.

lambslion I have credentials pretty close to you (154/3.4) but sent my apps in later than you did. Thus far I have only heard from SU ( a "yes"). I wonder why you prefer SU over Buffalo which is ranked several spots ahead of SU. In addition, three years of tuition at Buffalo is less than one year of tuition at Syracuse University. I have also been warned by a 1L at SU about the new grading curve which SU implemented this academic year which requires 70% to 75% of all 1L grades to be between B+ and C with each student achieving a near C+ average to graduate. The new grading policy requires each professor to award more than 10% of the students a grade below that necessary to graduate. [to confirm go to SU homepage and search "grading curve"] Do you know something about Syracuse University School of Law that I don't? Why SU over Buffalo? I am not confident that I will be admitted to Buffalo but is I do I am inclined to select Buffalo. If I don't get into Buffalo then I will likely attend Syracuse University over Albany (where I expect to get accepted). Again, congratulations regarding your acceptances to SU and Albany- both very solid schools. Good luck.

Congrats on your acceptances! I was wondering about how long it took to hear back from West Virginia and how they contacted you?

Hello avvocato, I checked the status checker pretty much every day after they sent me the info. I received my decision via status checker on December 21st. Good luck to you and congrats on your acceptances so far!

Syracuse vs. Buffalo

Hi bobol, My ranking of Syracuse over Buffalo is more-so a location preference. I am trying to stay closer to home and family. But I hear you on the tuition difference. It's crazy. Once I hear back from Buffalo I will have a better idea of what I am going to do.
