I'm in the same boat with L & C...says Decision Processed, but nothing else. Hoping to hear something in the next week. Not sure if they will mail something, email, or call. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out to see if you hear so I will know it's coming.

Yeah, I'm sure my mailman thinks I'm stalking him by now...I run out and check the mail right after it shows up...and now the status checker has changed to "Application File Complete" which I am not sure is exactly a step forward...
So, I just checked my mail and there was a big envelope from L&C so naturally I got excited. I eagerly opened it up and found...a booklet on their legal clinic. I was a bit disappointed to say the least...not that the information is bad, but come on...
Congrats on U-Dub! I thought about applying there, but scholarship hopes played a big role in my considerations and I thought my chances would be slim there. Anyway, hopefully we'll get similar good news from l&c soon. As you said, with our LSAT scores and work experience, I am not sure what the hold up is.
My Status Checker for UW says Decision too and I'm anxiously awaiting the letter. I'm pretty sure I got in but I'm still really nervous. Congrats on UW.

No, I haven't applied for it. At the moment I am not sure which direction I will be going in school and can't really commit to the public interest law at this point. I'm not ruling it out, but I'm not sure and if I'm not mistaken that would be a bit of a deal breaker for that scholarship. Good luck with it though... Speaking of Gonzaga, I went and took a tour today and sat in on a class. It was pretty cool.
I sent my app into Georgetown on Dec. 10th, and heard back on February 14th
So what's your first choice so far? I'm struggling with UW vs. fat scholarship at L&C.
Similar thoughts here. We live in Portland now and I want to eventually practice here regardless. I was thinking definitely UW up until I got the L&C scholarship. I think since I want to go in to patent law, it doesn't matter QUITE so much where I go, but it will still matter. Whether not it matters more than the extra debt plus my husband finding a new job in this economy -- therein lies my conundrum. At this point, I think UO is out of the question, though. I am jealous of your residency! UW is so cheap for residents!
From what I understand, UW places quite well in Portland, and really anywhere in the NW, but you still need to be in the top 25% or so of your class. I think the only drawback would be bar exam studying -- I have to imagine it's easier to study for the Oregon bar in Oregon with a bunch of other Oregon bar students. I spent about 3 days thinking I was headed back to Arizona for sure, but my husband finally came out and said that he really really doesn't want to move to Tucson. So I think it's still L&C right now. Too bad, it's an amazing offer...but I think Portland will be much better for our marriage. :)
UO is my first choice, I did my undergrad there, and would love to spend another three years in Eugene. I'm not interested in a career anywhere but Portland - I was born and raised here, and have lots of good networking contacts. Choice will ultimately come down to $$$$ - hope Willamette likes me as much as they liked you.
