Extra Curricular Information

3 years designer and editor at student newspaper.
Leader various student media orgs.

Volunteer for youth programs.

Current employer has offered to pay half tuition if I work full time while attending local school (Santa Clara, USF) part time.

Accepted at McGeorge. "Honors" entrance, though no word yet of scholarship other than free books first semester and travel expenses to visit school. Application forwarded to scholarship committee.

Phone call from professor at DePaul. Accepted, with scholarship! Didn't say how much over the phone, packet will arrive soon... (packet arriv. 15,000 yr. yay.)

Phone call from USF. Accepted, on the phone I was told I was a "very strong candidate," (har, har) and notified of scholarship of 15,000/ year. (turned out to be 13,000 and NOT renewable)

Package from Lewis and Clark. Totally stoked. Portland is awesome. Small scholarship, but at least it's something. Contingent on a 2.95, which seems low, but I have a feeling they've got a difficult curve.

Rejection from Hastings. Poo Poo.

Waitlist at Oregon. Thought I'd get in... especially considering my other acceptances for schools that are similar to Oregon in admit numbers. Ah well.

Waitlist at American. At least it's not a rejection.

Visited Lewis and Clark Admitted Students Weekend. Portland is nice. LC people are friendly.

In at San Diego. This is shaping up to be a very difficult decision.

In at Santa Clara.
Rejected, Wisconsin.
No surprises either way.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that we have the same numbers but very different results. I applied last year and just finished my first year at USD (had the last final today). I see that you've chosen Lewis and Clark but if you've got any questions about USD I'd be glad to answer them (and maybe sway you in that direction). Congrats on the acceptances!
