Scholarship info is reported as a 3-year total.

4/7 - I am about 95% committed to Case now. Visited Cleveland this weekend. Loved the city, love the school, and when I told my boss the name of the immigration law professor there, he just about fainted. I think that's a very good sign. I will hopefully put in my binding deposit next week, just have to beg for a co-signer on a grad plus loan, if I need it. I'm so excited to finally have a decision made.

---

3/6 - UNLV is definitely in first place unless Tulane decides they think I'm the greatest thing in the applicant pool. On a side note, I am really thinking about starting an immigration blog to talk about how immigration actually works. People really do not seem to know even the slightest bit about how immigration works, and it really is making me mad the amount of ignorant comments I get from people when I say, "I'm a paralegal for an immigration law firm."

---

3/2 - I just withdrew from Brooklyn. My undergrad institution is not the most helpful, and apparently Dean Cert forms are the bane of their existence. It is sad that I can get a LOR from a busy professor in 1 week, but I can't get a Dean Cert after 15 documented phone calls and 4 emails :( Oh well, NY is a little too pricey for me. Other than that, this cycle is going fantastically well!!!!!

---

2/27 - Got my first waitlist from U of Illinois. I saw it coming, but it is sad to know that if I had gone complete 1 day sooner I would have been admitted. Darn my paycheck being slow to deposit that week! At the moment there is a 95% chance I will be at UNLV this fall, which I am super happy about. Unless LSU gives me a good scholarship or 10k falls out the sky for UNM, it's pretty much guaranteed. Oh, and I know I'm going to get dinged at Brooklyn, I still can't get my UG to send in the dang Dean's Certification Forms :(

---

2/20 - Got the admit package from UNLV with a full ride today :) Also got 25k per year at San Diego. Received the admit packet from George Mason too... Finally, I have a law school I can afford!!! I'M SOOOO HAPPPYYYY!!!

---

2/17 - Well, I've been admitted to several schools, most notably UNM and UNLV (two of my top choices). I don't know about scholarships just yet, but I did just get tuition equalization to Georgia. I hate being poor with no parental support. Scholarships are starting to stress me out.

---

02/08 - Woke up to an acceptance message from Miami. That's a good way to start off the work week!! I really hope they aren't out of scholarship money like I've been hearing on TLS.

---

02/05 - Just got admits from Cleveland State and U of Maryland. I have been selected for the "Dean's Scholarship" at Cleveland which gives "up to in-state tuition." I'm wondering what that means. I also got the official letter from Georgia and a really sad receipt notice from Rutgers. Now the only ones I don't know about are DePaul, San Diego, and Santa Clara. I think the mailman is scared of me now because I'm always outside waiting when he delivers the mail.

---

02/04 - I was accepted by Georgia according to their website a few days ago, and Santa Clara and Maryland have already made decisions as well. I have not received anything in the mail yet, which makes me nervous. I think Santa Clara is an admit because the fee portion of the status checker now says nothing about the application fee only the status of deposits. I'm really hoping that I didn't apply too late for good scholarships, especially to a Chicago school or Miami or Stetson. Heck, anywhere I can actually afford is good at this point. I applied to the Miami Law Scholars program, I'm really hoping that pans out. I would die to go to Miami.

---

01/29 - I believe I just got the fastest acceptance ever. I submitted my application on 1/22 to St. Louis. It was complete on 1/26. I got an email saying a letter was on the way with the decision on 1/28. Today I got an email inviting me to write an essay for a full scholarship. The email also said I had already been offered a good scholarship. While St. Louis is not my first choice, I am soooo happy to start off with an acceptance and a scholarship to a school. It makes me less nervous :)

---

01/27 - My 3rd letter of recommendation finally made it in last night. Some of my applications are already in committee, so I hope another letter showing up won't slow anything down. It took me forever to track down a professor that remembered me well enough.

---

01/25 - Just sent off the last part of the application to Rutgers-Camden, and I am soooo nervous. I keep worrying about little things. Some of my job information was messed up on a few applications because of the Common Application Form resetting the information instead of the Primary Application overriding it. I hope that does not make me look bad to admissions committees. I included a detailed resume. Hopefully that will help. I also found a capitalization error in my Personal Statement that I did not catch before sending it to a bajillion schools. Good thing I work full time or I would be a useless ball of nerves at this point :)

35. Wow.

Wow, you applied to 35 schools! Impressive! I completely understand the reasoning, as I'm in a similar situation as you (similar numbers/older/applied late). Our cycles are hard to predict. Good luck! You're pretty much an auto-admit for Miami--I hope you get a good scholarship!

Good luck to you as well! My top picks are pretty much LSU, Oregon, Miami, Seattle, Lewis & Clark, and Nevada, but it's difficult for me to narrow it down. I'm just so nervous :) I was similarly disappointed with my LSAT score. Which school is your number 1 pick?

UNM

How long did it take UNM to make their decision? Did the status checker go from "Application complete" to "Decision Rendered," or did they show when your application was in review? Thanks for the help, and congrats on your acceptances! I'm really hoping to get into UNM!

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. For some reason I haven't been able to log in. I don't think UNM said anything about being in review, but I honestly can't remember, sadly enough. But, I applied on Jan. 22 and was accepted on Feb. 11. Good luck with UNM!!!!

Immigration

You definitely should start that blog about immigration. There are way too many poor attitudes and myths about the subject, especially from people who forget their ancestors were probably immigrants themselves. Great cycle for you!

Hey number twin! Are you riding out the UIUC waitlist as well? I'm hoping to get in there, but if not I'll probably end up at Indiana or biting the debt bullet at Fordham. Good luck!

Re:

Nah, I went ahead and withdrew from UIUC. I figured I wouldn't get enough of a scholarship even if I was let in. I'm poor :) I'm almost completely set on Stetson barring a fantabulous offer from Case, Seattle, or L&C. Stetson just seems to have exactly what I need :) Good luck on UIUC!!
