Additional info & updates

Working full time and attending Temple in the evening was my plan from the get go.

I'm in a good spot now and from a financial stand point there is no way to justify my attending anywhere else.

The other applications are largely to tempt me into breaking that plan. I applied to some full time programs in some places I could see myself living where I could have a relatively easy time of law school, i.e. not have to work 40 hours on top of classes.

I must say that Miami has been absolutely first rate in all correspondence since I have been accepted. They really do a great job of promoting their school, and if their thoroughness through the recruitment process is indicative of the type of experience one will have at the law school, anyone who chooses to attend Miami will have made a good choice.

PSU app was sent to see what kind of scholarship they'd offer and instead I got denied!?

Fordham and George Washington were my part time reaches, and I was somewhat surprised and flattered to receive a waitlist from Fordham.

Fordham is enticing. Great school; great job prospects; NYC; etc.

The problem is that it would cost me more than twice what Temple does, the cost of living in NYC is higher than that in Philadelphia and I would have to find a full time job between now and August.

Not withdrawing any apps just yet, but my money is definitely on Temple.

SMU never appealed to me, too cost prohibitive and I figured I had no shot at a scholly, let alone outright acceptance. And yeah, the LSAC GPA can eat me.

Congrats and dumb question!

Hi there... we have similar stats and I was wondering if i could ask you a stupid question. When you are talking about LSAC gpa vs. reg. gpa, what are you refering to? i've already done my apps and gotten accepted to a few places, but this is new to me. Where did you find your "other" gpa out and how do they get that? thanks a lot and best of luck!

Congrats

Nice job on ur cycle so far.. I too was surprised by my PSU deny but not too upset... Temple FT/PT is also a top choice of mine and my numbers are somewhat similar to yours... Were you planning on staying with your current employer throughout law school? I kind of planned on going the same route (legal work) if I was accepted PT at Temple... GL the rest of the way!
