Additional info & updates

Made my profile a little late to record all updates regarding status checkers, etc.... but I'll start from here :) I've found this website SO helpful in my application process, and I hope to provide any insight to other applicants in future cycles!

10/29/11- DePaul status checker changed from "complete" to "in review."

11/04/11- Received my first response of the cycle, and it was an acceptance! After noticing that my status checker had turned to "decision rendered" at approximately 11:45am, I checked back at approximately 2:00pm and it said "accepted--- congratulations!"

11/14/11- Received my admission packet from DePaul! Was offered the Dean's Merit scholarship, which is a 3 year renewable scholarship for $15,000/year. In order to renew the scholarship, I must maintain a 3.2 GPA at the end of each academic year. If I don't meet that criteria, but have above a 2.9, it will renew for half its value. Very happy!

11/16/11- Accepted to Michigan State via e-mail! My status checker says "admitted with scholarship," so I am looking forward to receiving my admission packet in the mail!

11/21/11- Waitlisted at Cincinnati via snail mail today. I didn't have my hopes set on this one, so I'm just happy to have not gotten a flat out no! :)

11/22/11- Accepted at Marquette today via e-mail! Acceptance packet to come, and scholarship information in February.

11/23/11- Accepted at IU-Indianapolis via e-mail!

11/28/11- Received MSU admission packet. Offered a half tuition scholarship, renewable with a GPA of 2.50 at the end of each academic year.

11/29/11- Accepted to UK this afternoon via email! I absolutely love Lexington. Very excited!

12/1/11- Waitlisted at W&L. I never thought I'd be excited about a waitlist... but I truly expected to be rejected. I'm not sure how the WL process works, but regardless, I'm happy!

12/7/11- Decided to go through my status checkers today and noticed I was accepted at Pitt! It updated today to say 'Accepted' after being in review since 10/19. Very excited!

12/14/11- Accepted to U of L via e-mail!

12/15/11- Accepted to Catholic & Charleston via e-mail!

12/19/11- Accepted at Penn State via e-mail! Received an e-mail from Catholic offering a $10,500/year scholarship. Renewable with a top 25% stipulation.

lol yeah. My parents keep trying to get me to stay in Texas and stuff, so I'm probably going to stay there. Just trying to keep my options open, though~
