Why isnt FAMU on your list?

FCSL

Thanks for the congrats. I would say congratulations is in order for you as well. FCSL is not my first choice, but as I wait on my other schools to reply it's getting there. If only I could get some money like you did. Congratulations on that as well and best wishes on the rest.

Thanks

I appreciate your comments. I concur with you in regards to the cold weather at Cooley. For me, environment is a plus. In regards to FCSL vs. STU... FCSL has a high bar passage rate for being a 4th tier school. They are 4th behind UF, FSU, and Stetson. Since the school is in Jacksonville, you won't have any distractions outside of 1L. STU on the other hand, doesn't boast a good bar passage rate. Additionally, from my little bird, STU's program is taking a tailspin. Down South, FIU is making waves by taking quality students that would have been accepted at NOVA, STU or UM, but at a state school rate. Barry is on the up and coming. It will be a force to be reckoned with in Orlando. It will one day become a mini-Stetson.

I just read what you wrote on westend's page and I concur sir. Cooley was out for me as soon as FCSL was in my hand. I was able to imagine my children there until FCSL came. Now, it is not even in my mind. MI is too cold for my young ones.

are so right. I shouldn't allow the bitter taste in my mouth to dictate my emotions. Thanks for calling me out, I appreciate it!!

Hey

it's cool. I know exactly where you are coming from. I sometimes do question myself but never my trust and commitment in God, but believing in him you have to give up self-doubt!! Sorry about your divorce, relationships also instill in me a questioning and bewilderment but that is all part of the bigger picture I guess. You know what is funny is that I had a feeling I would get dinged from UF anyways, even before I applied and I honestly feel I had a 50-50 shot. Oh well, God knows what is best. I must always remember that!! ;0) It is always good to meet a fellow believer!!

I don't know anything about FCSL, so they didn't ever register to me when I was looking for Sports Law schools. I looked at a few different schools in Florida, but I didn't think I was ready to move that far away yet! I hope you hear from Montana soon. It doesn't seem like anyone has heard yet. I might drop an e-mail to Fritz and see why that is (not that I applied...I'm just curious for other people!) Good luck!

He got rejected with a 162/2.99? Wow. That actually really surprises me. I mean Montana has a decent law school, but I don't think they really can be that picky! If you got into UM, would you want to come here over FCSL? Wait! You're from Bozeman! Why am I talking to you? Hehehe. Just kidding. Mostly. ;)

FCSL vs Montana

It definitely sounds like FCSL would be a good place for you. I hope that it all works out. (And no, you aren't the only one freaking out about making a decision. I'm about to just say forget it all, I'm not going to law school, I'll just become a stupid accountant instead...okay that might be a tad dramatic, but I definitely am feeling the pressure.)

Congrats on Florida Coastal! Great school. I think living in Florida is like being on vacation all year long.

No idea...

Schools are just weird. It seems like there is no rhyme or reason to half the decisions they make. It's annoying.

Blah!

I can't believe you still haven't heard from Montana. I am about to go talk to Fritz on your behalf. ;) I need to chat with him here soon anyways...

Maybe...

He doesn't realize April 15th is this Saturday? Seriously. I don't know why they are so slow.

So...
Thursday, December 22 2005 at 07:00 PM

It's past the 15th. What the heck UM?

At least you finally heard!
Thursday, December 22 2005 at 07:00 PM

I'm sorry to hear that! But I hope you love Florida! At least you won't have to deal with weather like we had in Missoula today. Raining, then 5 minutes later sunshine, then 5 minutes later snow...all day long! Blah!

UM

Sorry about UM. They are confusing the hell out of me. So many people with stellar numbers got rejected. Then there's me. I'm not complaining, but it's still weird. I am on the "out-of-state waitlist". I think my chances of getting in are better than they would be if UM was private. First, since UM only admits 1/3 of its entering class from out-of-state, and I am on the out-of-state waitlist, I am not competing for a spot with any in-staters. Second, since Montana isn't usually regarded as one of the "hippest" places to live, any accepted out-of-staters will likely opt to go elsewhere; perhaps somewhere more "hip". So we'll see how many UM out-of-state accepted applicants actually submit their seat deposit. I should know how I'll fare at the end of June, according to the letter. Wish me luck, it's my #1 choice. Have fun at FL Coastal!
