Hope you do well!

Hey!

Hey, not to worry yet! I had a small flip out by UNM this last week and broke down to email them. I normally don't bug schools, but I just thought it was taking ridiculously long. Anyway, they said a number of decisions hadn't been made yet, but the committee met last Tuesday and would send out the letters this coming week. Hopefully, along with a nice tax rebate check, comes a big fat acceptance for us!! I'm going to try that lobonet thing though too! Ugh, I'm sooo bitter about them taking this long though. I mean, at least if they're going to reject us, they should have done it already instead of giving us false hope! Oh well... If it also gives you any hope, my husband waiting a month and a half past the "May 1" deadline for pharmacy school...they told him in June. Hopefully none of us are going to be waiting that long. Good luck! Let me know how it turns out!

Yeah!

Ugh I know, she was so short with me too, as if my email was extremely annoying. That kind of irritates me that she's so weird with everyone, especially since you have been waiting over five months and I have been waiting four...it's like, don't you think people would wonder?? I guess, according to her, we should just wait until the second coming... I tried the lobo thing, but unfortunately, I'm already in the system because I wanted to do that biochem thing earlier in the year. So I couldn't find out that way. No worries though! It's not over until it's over, so hopefully you get your letter today! Let me know how it turns out!

That's what I'm wondering..

See yeah, that's why I'm wondering why they're holding out on me...I'm not a NM resident. My husband and I just arrived last year from central CA (explains the pity waitlist offer at McGeorge with my poor numbers...hahaha. I will confess my 148 LSAT score to you). Anyway, that's why I'm like, "just reject me already! I know you're going to!!" The thing that confuses me with UNM though is, I just wonder what criteria they're using with whom they're picking and choosing. I've seen plenty of acceptances with numbers lower than yours. Plus, NM says they give preference to in-staters, so I wonder about the large number of out of staters they're accepting (at least from the looks of LSN). As a third generation NM...you should have been a shoe in. Ugh. Nevermind, that is just the bitterness talking. See me in about an hour when I get off work to check the mail...I'll be plenty more bitter by then. hahaha. Sadly, if I had never moved here, NM wouldn't have been a choice of mine. Not because of the school...but you're totally right, the way they have presented themselves...I think I would have lasted about three weeks with the snobbery and then I would have told them where to stick my "in review" application. Oh well, that's their way of dealing I guess. It's just a giant turn-off. I'm sure not just to us, but everyone else who's had to deal with this too. Anyway, congrats on the schools lucky enough to get a chance to have you as a student. Creighton is an awesome school. Enjoy your road trip and let me know where you end up going! P.S. I looked into Texas..unfortunately for me, I graduated two years ago from ginormous UCLA...which means my professors don't know me from the other 100 people in my class...so I feel stupid asking for letters of rec from them. All the schools I applied to only require one. :)

thanks

Looks like you've got it narrowed down to Creighton huh? Thats the one I chose as well. I'm coming from out of state too, Illinois. From what I've seen Omaha seems like it will be a really cool place to live and Creighton is an awesome school. I can't wait to move out there and get started. See you this fall if you're going.
