04/17/08 Ok I've decided to go to Creighton for sure. Anyone else going to Creighton let me know and I'll see you in Omaha!

04/05/08 Alright finished the cycle with 10-1-1, which is a lot better than I thought I'd do. Remember when I predicted 8-2-2? So now I'm pulling my hair out deciding between Creighton and SIU, which is a classic basketball rivalry by the way. Any comments??

03/19/08 Waitlisted at Kansas.

03/05/08 I called SIU today to check the status of my file and they said that they had a decision that they could give me over the phone. In with $4500 a year! I also arranged a visit and to sit in on a class in a couple weeks.

03/01/08 In at SLU! Very nice news further complicating my decision. I live near the St Louis area too. Oh and I got the nice pen that everyone is talking about.

2/28/08 I haven't updated this little blog in a while. Since the last entry I've been accepted to Marquette and St. Thomas (Mn), still waiting on the rest of my schools, 7-1 now. I also took a little trip to Omaha to check out Creighton. It was a good trip, Omaha seemed like a cool town and I liked everything I saw and heard from the school, definitely a top choice.

2/6/08 I checked the status checker for Illinois online, and glaring at me from the top of the screen was "Denied." Ouch. My first defeat. Oh well, still 5-1 and well over .500 on the season. Got some tough ones coming up though, namely, Kansas and SLU. I'm predicting to finish at something like 8-2-2. Any takers?

1/31/08 Nebraska called today and apparently I'm off the waitlist and accepted. No word on scholarships, I guess I'll find out when I get the letter in the mail. I would be suprised if they offered a scholarship if I'm fresh off the waiting list, but we'll see. By the way, I'm going to Omaha 2/17-2/18 for Scholars Weekend. Anyone else going let me know.

1/28/08 Good day today. Came home to an overflowing mailbox...in at Tulsa with $22000 a year, in at Creighton with $14000 a year, and in at Michigan State with 50% tuition discount I guess around $42000!! Decisions decisions...

1/26/08 Full mailbox today! Got thin white envelopes from Nebraska and two from Arkansas. Nebraska said I was deferred. With Arkansas, one letter said I was in, the other said I would get $8000 the first year. Not clear if that can be renewed the other two years.

1/24/08 Called Michigan St today and they said that a decision on my app has been made and the letter was mailed 1/22/08. Waiting...

1/23/08 Complete at NIU.

1/22/08 Got my username and password to check file status online at UIUC, still incomplete. Complete at Kansas, notified by email.

1/19/08 Letter in the mail, complete at Creighton.

1/18/08 Got a personal email today from Florida Coastal saying I'd qualify for a 15000/yr scholarship. Thats pretty cool to hear, but I could still go to NIU or SIU cheaper. Still no little white envelopes, ughh...

1/13/08 Decided to add U of I to my list, home state, T1, close to home...wish me luck! Also added Marquette and Kansas.

1/13/08 This is a cool site, just found it today. As you can see I've got several apps in and I am now anxiously checking the mail and email every day. Theres a few apps that I still need to complete and maybe a few others that I might throw in.

haha yeah, i didn't expect a "denied" online. i was kind of shocked but happy they didn't string me along. good luck with the rest of your cycle, it looks like you're doing great.

The Creighton visit went pretty well? I'm going out there in the next couple months...I ran across the fact that you went to SIU...I went there my freshman year for film but transferred out once I decided to revert to Political Science. Ahh Carbondale...what a town.

I'm 100% sure I'm attending Creighton at this point. I just bought a flight out of O'Hare on the 22nd and leave the 24th of May for Accepted Students Day. If you decide to go we should go out that friday night, see what Omaha has in store for us.

Hey. I just got back from touring law schools, and yeah, it\'s going to be Creighton. I met with the interim Dean, attended a class, rented an apartment. I can\'t say Omaha was too impressive, and the law school ain\'t pretty, but they were very professional, organized, and kind. Lots of cool student organizations. Flip me an email if you want.
