I'm an indigenous Mexican-American with deep ties to his indigenous culture. I will post more about my background once my cycle is done.

11/01/12--- Received my LSAT score today, now I have to wait for my final transcripts to be processed.

11/06/12--- Transcripts are in! Unfortunately I was working the polls all day so I won't send any apps till the next day.

11/07/12--- I sent about 14 law school applications today. I'm hoping to keep my previous streak where I was accepted to all the undergraduate institutions that I applied to.

11/08/12--- Virginia app complete and under consideration.

Southwestern app is complete and in review.

San Diego app is complete.

11/09/12--- I submitted an extra 4 applications today. I have apps all over the country just to have some reassurance that I am accepted in at least one part of the country.

Unfortunately, Stanford required a fee waiver form to be completed that I didn't anticipate. I faxed it over to Stanford today along with the other forms required. Kinda bummed since this will delay my application about 1-2 weeks. If you have an LSAC fee waiver, make sure that the law schools you are applying to accepts it. I had to delete some of my previous apps because of this. However, I'm dying for Stanford so I'm not willing to give up on it just yet.

11/12/12--- So all my apps have been received by the law schools except Stanford's app. Just waiting it out till I get my fee waiver code from them.

USC app is complete.

11/13/12--- UW app is complete.

Minnesota app is complete too.

11/14/12--- Michigan app is also complete.

11/15/12--- I just received my fee waiver code from Stanford and sent in my last law school application for this cycle today. Now all I have to do is wait and hope.

11/16/12--- Loyola app is complete and ready for review.

Minnesota app is in review.

11/19/12--- Stanford file submitted for review.

11/20/12--- Vanderbilt app complete.

Harvard app is also complete.

11/21/12--- I scheduled an in-person interview with Vanderbilt. Until my interview is complete, my application will be on hold.

Also, my Berkeley app is under review as of today.

11/27/12--- UW app is in review.

11/28/12--- Cornell app is complete.

11/30/12--- I had my Vanderbilt law school interview today with an alumni at his law offices. Seems like a laidback person and the interview lasted less than 30 minutes. I researched what is appealing to Vanderbilt hopefuls before the interview and it turned out to be the calming location of Nashville for my interviewer.

12/03/12--- Duke app is under review.

12/05/12--- USC app is being read by the 1st committee.

12/13/12--- Cornell just reminded me that my app is still under review.

12/17/12--- USC app is being read by the 2nd committee.

12/18/12--- UCLA has decided to put me on the waitlist after applying to early decision here. At least it's not a rejection so the news isn't that bad.

12/19/12--- Honestly this came as somewhat as a surprise to me because I thought Minnesota was kinder to URMs than other law schools. I was waitlisted.

12/20/12--- A decision has been rendered from the University of San Diego but unfortunately, I have to wait because it is being sent by snail mail.

12/21/12--- Reached 1000 views today! :)

12/24/12--- First acceptance of the year at San Diego and got good money for it. I'm happy!

01/04/13--- "Evaluation in Progress" at Davis.

01/07/13--- And the 1st rejection of the cycle came from Washington. :(

Cornell sent me an update that my file will be holistically reviewed in the next couple of weeks. More of the same.

On the other hand, today Southwestern invited me to an interview for their 2 year SCALE program. I have to confirm by email.

1500 views on LSN.

01/10/13--- Wrote a LOCI for UCLA to get me off the waitlist. I specified that I was interested in their Native Nations program.

01/11/13--- Took a tour of the UCLA law campus. Loved it. Met with an admissions officer at the end of the tour and they knew I was on the waitlist off the bat.

I also attended a Southwestern Information Session later that day. I enjoyed it plus free food.

01/15/13--- Severely bummed about the Michigan rejection and I really expected to be on their waitlist. This rejection actually hurts more than the Washington one.

01/16/13--- There is a decision rendered on my Loyola app. Expect some news soon because the decision is being sent by snail mail.

01/17/13--- USC updated itself again but no movement.

01/19/13--- Received my Loyola acceptance folder in the mail today. Not happy with the 3.2 GPA stipulation in order to maintain that scholarship. Note to self: Need to negotiate that in March.

01/22/13--- Rejected from Virginia. Sad, but to be expected.

Also, my USC app has again updated itself to 2nd Committee Review.

01/23/13--- Rejected from Vanderbilt, I'm sad right now.

On the other hand, I reached 2000 views.

01/29/13--- 3rd time Cornell has updated itself. This usually means an acceptance. PLEASE!

01/30/13--- One of the saddest days of my life... I was rejected from my alma mater. :(

02/07/13--- Today I had 4 decisions made so here it goes.

Accepted into Southwestern Law School after I did an interview for their SCALE 2-year program there. I will be happy to attend for the right amount of money.

Rejected from Harvard. It hurts but I did expect this decision.

Hastings has waitlisted me!! Like I always say, at least it isn't a rejection. Hoping for an acceptance after May.

The final decision arrived by snail mail late at night and was dated 02/04/13. UCI, one of my top choices, has waitlisted me. I need to work my ass off and send a LOCI quick.

02/08/13--- Cornell has put me on their reserve list aka waitlist. This is exciting and unexpected!

02/09/13--- 2500 views! Yay!

02/12/13--- How can someone not be stoked when you're still in the running at Columbia!!! This is the most unexpected admission decision yet.

02/15/13--- I was admitted to Davis on 02/13! I'm finally into a Tier 1 Law School!

02/26/13--- After weeks of no updates, I got my status checker updated again to say I'm "under review" at Duke.

03/02/13--- Reached 3000 views on LSN!!! :)

03/06/13--- Duke sent me a rejection through email.

03/17/13--- Rejected from Stanford :(

03/25/13--- In Final Review at USC! Anxious!

03/26/13--- Waitlisted at USC. Time to study for the LSAT and get into my top choices.

05/08/13--- It's been a while since I've gone on here but I just got accepted into Hastings via phone call!!!
