Additional info & updates

At THIS point, I am hoping to get off Villanova's WL.
In addition to sending my last transcript (which raised my cum. GPA), I had another letter of recommendation sent there.

I see a few people have gotten off the WL already. Hope I'm soon!!!

:) Good Luck, everyone!

There has been a lot of traffic on these forums with regards to this "acceptance" to FCSL as it has caused much confusion. This email was a notification of eligibility for a scholarship and pretty much a guarantee that IF you apply you will get it but not an acceptance. Therefore, if you are interested in the school you should apply! Hope this helps and good luck with the rest of the cycle!!!

When I logged in this morning I too had the accept/decline tab..while im pretty much an autoadmit there, i dont think it means you/I have been accepted, simply because I have only recently applied, and most likely have not been reviewed yet. But you never know :)

Hey, thanks for letting me know what happened with you! Sorry you got waitlisted, that's very surprising, I guess a lot of schools are being pickier this year in attempt to raise ratings. Good luck with the rest of your cycle!

Waitlisted as well, what the heck is going on with them?? I'm going to write a LOCI tomorrow and send it in. Im shocked, they should be giving me a scholarship, not waitlisting me.

And they accepted me, I talked to a guy in the admissions office and he said he had no idea what had happened, and he was changing my status to admitted right then. I would suggest you write them a letter of continued interest...and see what happens, email me if you want to see mine that I wrote, that of course no longer needs to be sent...Good luck!!

Hi Ella. To answer your question Villanova sent me an email saying that I was accepted, and that I would be receiving a letter in the mail soon. Good luck!

Hey- I don\'t know what I did, except perhaps being persistent. I visited VU back in April, sent a letter thanking them and emphasizing that VU was my first choice in early June, phoned the office in July (twice). I don\'t know if that helps, but I think persistence (and patience) is key.
