Additional info & updates

1/26- Passed an administrative review at Berkeley and is heading off for committee review or something but not until Feb. 27 and they say to expect a decision on or around March 20...don't know if that is good news or not

1/27- Finally complete at UCLA, took over a month since I sent it, but I did apply for the PI program so it could be due to that

2/4- First acceptance was UW, came in small envelope...yay!

2/10- In at Lewis and Clark with $28,000/year which is sweet since I'm already living up in PDX

2/14- Valentines day came with a big white envelope from USC, hopefully they send some $$ too

2/24- Hit a lull in responses. From doing some research on this site it seems that the Committee review at Berkeley is about 75% likely to be a rejection so I'm preparing for the worse. Hoping to hear back from UCI soon

2/25- The lull ended! In at UCLA via a call from Dean Schwartz...which I missed (darn!) So psyched to get into my alma mater!

3/2- Admission packet came, big white envelope, CDs a nice touch.

3/3- $20,000/yr from USC on a Merit Scholarship. Nice but probably not enough to make me go

3/19- Just got the email acceptance from Berkeley...I'm in awe. I thought that after the admin review it was definitely going to be a negatory

3/28- Waitlisted at Irvine. I'll go onto the waitlist but most likely won't her back early enough to make it really temptingj

4/17- Waitlisted at NYU..I really only applied to see if I get in and that question is still out there, lol. I withdrew.

4/24- 2nd phone call from Dean Schwartz at UCLA saying I got into the Epstein program.

Congratulations on your application cycle! Your admissions are impressive. I also applied to UCI and am wondering how you heard from them regarding being placed on the waitlist. Are they wailisting all applicants that they are considering from now on?
