Additional info & updates

*Accepted to Thomas M. Cooley via Telephone. I thought that this was a little odd, but according to the admissions an offer letter is in the mail.

*Accepted to Florida Coastal via Application Status Tracker. Glad that I have 2 fall back schools if the remainder of this cycle turns out bad

*1/20/12 - John Marshall, Chicago said that I should be expecting an invite to the SCALES summer program.

*2/2/2012- Denied for direct admittance into MSU but did receive an invite to apply to the Legal Education Opportunity program (LEO). The LEO program has a history of admitting 75% of its participants. I have applied and am awaiting an answer. If accepted, I will attend.

@Lauren The JMLS Summer program does not guarantee a seat in their fall class. The SCALES program is for students who were rejected for direct admittance, but do show potential for law school. Besides, the price to attend SCALES is a little more than $2,000 while merely 50% of participants actually earn a seat in the fall class.

*4/3/2012 - Attending the MSU LEO Program. It starts on May 13, 2012 and ends June 22, 2012.

* I have not been on here since the completion of LEO. However, I was granted admission at the MSU College of Law and wil Start Immersion Week on August 20, 2012; Classes begin on August 27, 2012.

What are your feelings on the MSU LEO program? How long did it take to hear back from them once you applied to it? Thanks.

I finished law school at MSU College of Law. There, I was on moot court and two journals and did pretty well in general. As it stands, I am an attorney in Chicago, who works at a NLJ 250 size firm (350 attorneys nationwide). I hope that my struggle with being accepted into law school and successful matriculation will inspire all.
