Additional info & updates

Also please leave any comments you have in mind, I welcome nice, helpful, rude, funny, useless, indifferent, and every other kind of comments. I do have issues with threats, but what the hell, don't let that stop you.

I am applying to bunch of schools, because of the LSAC fee waiver that most law schools take, so 12 bucks an app. isn't too bad.

12/07ish/09 - Sent in few apps, and already the decision from Northeastern is in the mail, wow! I just went complete on the 5th.
Hopefully, it won't be a rejection.

12-11-09 - Got my first acceptance letter from Northeastern, with a 25,000 scholly, still not convinced though. We'll see where it goes from here.

12-17-09 Finally done with finals, and sent in whole bunch of apps, finally.

01-07-10 I have been anxious to hear back from UGA (my top choice) so I email them about not hearing back and whether my app. was complete or not. I get an immediate response saying that my app. is complete and I have been accepted! But they also send me an email with a status checker, so I log in to check my status and it says that my file is still incomplete? WTF?

01-13-10 Went to UGA Law School (which is 5 min. from where I live) to see what was incomplete about my file, and turns out, it was already complete and my online status changed to that i have been accepted! Very glad about being accepted, it is a huge relief. UGA is definitely one of my top choices, it is a really good school with good placement, and cheap as hell compare to other ones!

01-13-10 To make matters more interesting I got a 23K a year scholly from Miami! Miami sounds so nice and warm, but for some reason, whether for good or not, their ranking and placement compared to UGA (my highest acceptance yet) is just not even close.

01-15-10 Got an acceptance from Wake Forest today! I emailed them about something, and it took them 3 min. to reply via email! WF Law is very tempting, their staff seems really nice, and I am looking for a small law school as them. But, I will need a good scholarship offer from them to go there. Someone please convince me that I should go to Wake Forest!

01-25-10 Got a 18K/yr scholarship offer from WF Law, I will probably go to one of the open houses and see how that turns out. I really really like the school though.

01-31-10 I sent in some last minute applications to some of the 'out of my league schools', especially some in California. Recently, I have been wanting to move to california for some strange reasons, so if a miracle happens and either USC, UCLA, or Berkeley decides to grant me a wish, I wouldn't hesitate to go to any of those schools.

02-02-10 I wasn't even thinking about GW, and got a rejection in the mail. For the first time, I looked up and other users with stats similar to mine were also rejected, except for the URMs. First, rejection hurts a lot, even if i didn't even like GW that much. Also, I wish I was Black, just for this cycle.

03-01-10 Rejection Letter from BU, just a great fuckin start to the month.

03-10-10 Got an acceptance letter with a 15K/yr scholarship from Indiana today, not really sure what to do now. What should I pick between Georgia, WF, and Indiana, any opinions on this matter?? Anyone?

03-12-10 Got an email from Washington & Lee placing me on the waitlist. If anyone from the admissions office is reading this, I will not, I repeat I WILL NOT even consider you, unless you accept me and along with the acceptance give me a full scholarship plus a stipend. In other words go fuck yourself.

I am ready for rejections to start pouring in.
On a second thought, i don't think i was quite as ready as I previously predicted.

Why no on NYLS? It may be 3rd tier, but the employment prospects are there and the median salary is there. Plus good bar passage rates, etc. I may retake the LSAT and apply to higher tier schools though. Good luck on your cycle.

we've got a bunch of the same schools, good luck!

Please don't undermine NYLS when people want that as their first choice. It is a tough economy and they have expanded their school revamp it tremendously. In 3 years the economy will be looking somewhat better and people that are not as lucky to score higher on their lsat will get jobs from 3rd tier schools. Please keep your ignorance to yourself :)

Just out of curiosity

How did you convey your extensive travel in your app? I have a pretty good travel background too but I couldn't think of a way to indicate that..

I took the LSAT in June 2007-- right after I graduated from college.

Good luck on UGA. After my new LSAT score it's more of a safety but I am still very interested in the school.

Thanks!

Hey! Glad to see you got in! You're not on TLS much any more, so I didn't know the good news until I randomly checked here. Congratulations!

Thanks for the comment...
