Congrats on your new score, and good luck on your cycle too!!
hey fellow hyp-er, good luck with your cycle!
I went more with the random argument about a random subject. It's not a blow-you-away kind of 250 essay, but I think it's solid. and truly... if I only had a 177...
Thanks, you too. I'm sure you will have an excellent cycle based on your information.
thanks for the comment. I ended up getting lazy and not doing the Alabama app. anyway, and just downloaded music instead :p Good luck to you too, and congrats on the great LSAT score!
My info is fudged b/c my actual profile is fairly recognizable, and I was worried that someone on an admissions committee might spot it. At first, I didn't say that my profile is slightly incorrect. Then I realized that not being truthful about my untruthfulness is unfair to other applicants who want to compare their progress with people with similar stats and softs!
Hey, how'd the fee waivers work for you? I haven't applied for a fee waiver because I'm worried it'll take weeks to process (thus delay the apps!) You make it sound like it went by fairly quickly and easily.
Hey I'm also a multiple LSAT taker. We'll see how that goes. Good luck with the cycle!
Yea, I went under review at Harvard late October, got the complete e-mail last Thursday and an interview request today. Good Luck!
Great lsat score btw! I haven't applied yet, waiting on a damn lor, but i annexed my travel experience within the larger scope my my ps.
Thanks! With a 177 3.6, they are probably just waiting to decide how much scholarship money to give you... Good luck!
I'm sure you're going to have an equally fantastic cycle. great job on that 177
thank you!! im sure you have nothing to worry about with those numbers -- best of luck to you.
looking at your stats again, i can't see how JR would pass you up. it's coming, i feel it!
The acceptances to HLS made me want to cry :( Why did I ever think to 'explore' organic chemistry and damn my GPA! Your LSAT is great though so maybe your file is just at the bottom of the pile... I hope mine too!
pretty much a numbers twin, good luck on your cycle! i'm also have 2 lsats under my belt, hopefully it won't hurt us :)
i don't think date of completion is strongly correlated with date of jr1... wasn't the first wave of invites kind of all over the place? don't give up hope! :)
Thanks to you too! I got a 172 on my first attempt.. so I dunno if they'll accept my higher since my gain was only by 5 points. How'd you do the first time? I bet they're nicer about not averaging when the gap is bigger.. :(
hope you hear some good news soon as well.
I can sense your anxiety. Waiting is horrible! Here's to hoping you and I find success with JR!
Yeah, nothing since the "app received" email right after applying! Oh well. If you end up calling them, will you let me know what they say? Thanks for the congrats!!
Thanks!! And yep, this was my first word from then since that initial email. Crossing my fingers for you!!
yup, got it, too! you should change the status to accepted! congrats on your first (of what will be many) acceptances :)
i'm sure it's just the beginning of an admissions sweep. us 177ers will triumph, i'm sure of it! good luck this cycle.
I'd be happy to let you know if I get a JR1; however, I'm not really expecting one anytime soon. I figure if I get into HLS it will be off the wait-list sometime in the spring. My sense is that I won't hear anything from them until February/March. In fact, besides Cornell, which is supposed to respond before the new year, it seems like I might not hear anything from anyone until late january. Columbia and Chicago only will start sending RD responses in later january and michigan, duke, uva apparently are just ignoring me, which I assume Penn will do as well.
yay for NYU!
haha sorry about the slight slip up with the screenname :)Yes, JR needs to come through! You know, like a Merry ChristmaKwanzaHanukkah gift...! Good thing these boards are generally anonymous. The ad comms must find us absolutely nutso.
haha it seems nyu hasn't minded our non-specific apps, so i guess it already has turned out fine? although i do see NYU isn't your top choice. good luck though, i think you have a great shot at one of the hys. and at least stanford is sending you big envelopes! i haven't heard back anything from them at all.
Haha I got an email from Stanford about something unrelated to law school and freaked out for a minute. I totally understand the big envelope thing.
congrats on NYU! I'm sure more good news will flow in soon
Congrats on NYU!! Just noticed.
Congrats on your great acceptances so far. You have a stellar LSAT so I'm sure you'll get into many more. You asked if schools average them - some do, most don't. Unfortunately, Harvard and Yale tend to take both scores into account. I got a 164 first, so I sent a statement explaining the discrepancy between first and final score (which was a good reason - there was a death in my immediate faimly the day before, so it was dumb to take the LSAT, but I had been preparing all summer so I thought I could swing it. If you're ever in that situation, no, you can't.) Good luck on the rest - you're sure to hear some good news over the next couple weeks! :)
Good luck to us! There are so many people with similar numbers.
Congrats on Berkeley!! Hopefully more good news is in store for us :)
That would be awesome! I definitely love my LSN/TLS peeople :) Yeah, JR is letting us down. But hopefully it'll be a pleasant late surprise?
Yeah, I saw on the boards =( Sorry to hear that Amidea, I was rooting for you! I still haven't heard back yet, and it's freaking me out.
Hmm odd cycle this year... I got WLed by Penn! Hopefully with one "bad" piece of news out of the way, the both of us will be doing better in the months to come.
sorry to hear about harvard, but congrats on berkeley! i hope we both will hear good news from columbia soon. what's your top choice?
Boo to Yale. Lameness! Thankfully didn't want them anyway.
and congrats on chicago! i hope you also get into stanfurd :)
Glad to see your cycle has gone so well. Good luck with Stanford. If you don't get in there, what's the choice?
I know! It's been pretty quiet, and it worries me a bit... What's your decision now? Sorry about SLS :(
it's looking like CLS right now, but i'm going to wait HLS out to the bitter end. how about you? are we likely to be classmates?
What's your final verdict?? :)
see you at columbia! :)
Ugh tough cycle this year. Still holding out for CLS... Maybe I'll see you there?
Same thing for me, Stanford would be awesome (especially for patents - Silicon Valley)! Good luck to you too!
