BAD NEWS!! Wisconsin is THE WORST state to get residency.... basically, I talked to the Residency Committee and they told me I would remain a non-resident for all 3 years. The only way to get in state tuition is to maintain residency in the state of Wisconsin as a NON-STUDENT for a period no less than 12 months. They actually told me that the only thing I could do was TO DROP OUT FOR A YEAR and RE-ENROLL!!

Thanks for your imput... you probably are right... I want a career in Public Interest/Gov so $100,000 in student debt is somewhat scary to me. We'll see what Wisc says in March... I will post results.

I have also been accepted to SLU and Wisconsin. I am waiting for Scholarship information from Wisconsin as well. The difference is Iowa is still pending for me. I am curious to know why you want to go to Wisconsin over Iowa?

I've recieved the same info on residency from Iowa. I've been in Iowa all 4 years of my undergrad, plus worked almost full time and filed Iowa State income taxes, but none of that matters. I'd have to be there for a year as a non-student to get residency. Lame!
