LawSchoolGrl87 (2022-2023)

I was the Vice President of my service sorority for the 2007-2008 school year and then President for the 2008-2009 school year. The year I was President we had 120 members. We are service sorority that participated in many service events throughout the year both locally and nationally. Our main philanthropy was St. Jude Children's Hospital. As President, I was in charge of heading up each service event. As a sorority, we raised over $15,000 to send to St. Jude. Being apart of the sorority was something I was very proud of.

Also worked at 30 hours a week all through Undergrad.

Applications sent off on 12-16 to NCCU and Elon. Received e-mails on 12-18 that they were received and would take about 3-4 weeks to receive all my information from LSAC and 3-4 weeks to render decision. Fingers crossed!

Update 2/25:

Decided to apply to Regent University. I have a lot of family in that area and I really like there program, especially there study abroad options. I know my LSAT is lower than there average but I figured it couldn't hurt to apply.

Status Checker changed at NCCU to complete again. The date was 12/18 now it says 2/12. So I guess we will see. Still hoping to get accepted as that it my first choice.

Status Checker at NCCU changed today to Application Complete and In Review. Hoping to have a decision soon.

Update 3/25:

So I got my rejection letter in the mail from NCCU...I was actually wait listed...but I have decided not to remain on the list. The way they made the letter sound was similar to "if all the people we really want to attend decide not to we may offer you a spot." So, I decided it wasn't the school for me. I am also in committee review at Elon so will see. However, I seriously doubt even if I do get in that I will choose to attend. The cost of tuition is so much. I just landed a great job in my hometown and I think I may retake the LSAT this year and try again next year. Will see. Best of luck to everyone!
