Additional info & updates

Schools ordered according to US News ranking.

I've been meaning to update this for awhile. Vanderbilt and Michigan sent me acceptances via snail mail over winter break and I found out when I returned to school.

Penn and UVA waitlisted me through email in early January. UCLA informed me of my rejection via snail mail last week.

In at Georgetown via snail mail. It came in a small envelope and I thought it was a rejection - pleasant surprise.

LSN and TLS have me hoping for some word from Columbia soon. All I want is for this steady stream of notification to continue.

2/1/10
In at Cornell! Glad to have it as an option.

I've been a bit antsy all weekend expecting the reject letter from Yale that seems to have been going out this weekend. Given the completion dates of others, I should be hearing from them and Columbia hopefully by the end of the month.

2/7/10
Went complete at Stanford a few days ago. It took two months from my application date due to their request of a study abroad transcript. Due to the late completion date, I'm not that optimistic about my chances. Looking at other people's numbers on LSN, I'm still hopeful about Columbia and Chicago.

2/10/10
Held at Harvard. Not a rejection or a waitlist, which is not a bad sign. Will be sending LOCI/Why Harvard, updated transcript, and additional LoR. Trying my best to keep hope alive.

2/18/10
Under Faculty Review at Berkeley via email.

2/22/10
In at Duke via email.

In at Columbia via email (VCE came 2 days later). Also nominated for the Richman Fellowship (very little info available) that offers 60k over 3 years. Very exciting.

3/5/10
In at Chicago via phone call. Followed with email.

3/9/10
In at Berkeley via phone call. Makes for a very exciting Spring Break.

3/18/10
In at Stanford via phone call this morning. :D
Waitlisted at Emory via email. :/

3/30/10
Didn't get the Richman. :(
Offered a scholarship at Chicago. :)

3/31/10
Huge financial aid package came in at Stanford, the decision - barring YH w/ a similar deal - is almost made for me.

4/19/10
Waitlisted at Harvard and Yale over the weekend. Mixed emotions. Looks like I'm headed west.

4/28/10
Not a law school, but in at the SEO Corporate Law program.

you already did that lol Thats more general information for anyone with schools they know they won't attend.

For the record, I have withdrawn from schools that I wouldn't attend at this point. For the rest I'm waiting for financial aid packages and deciding on that.

Stanford

It's listed as a Law School Fellowship. It's the total amount over 3 years and is not including loans.

Awesome!

Sweet financial aid from Stanford! Quick question... on my financial aid, I only received a fellowship for this year, and the instruction to reapply each year for more need-based aid. Is yours the same way and your number is an assumption of the following two years, or have you already been granted the full three years? Thanks!
