9 months volunteering with a Pro Se divorce clinic and various other volunteer experience before, during, and after undergrad.

***My advice to future law school applicants: Get you LSAT score as high as humanly possible. I swear to you that schools weigh your LSAT score much more heavily than any other factor (ie GPA, personal statement). Good luck.***

After a few very optimistic sounding emails I got one last one from UH today saying that they would not be making anymore additions to their entering class. The email tried to encourage me to try again next year as a new student admissions or as a transfer if I started somewhere else this year. We'll see...

I am still ever so patiently waiting things out with UH. Their admission office sent an email last week saying they will get back to the waitlisters starting in July. So, if those of you who were accepted or waitlisted and do NOT plan to attend, would kindly and quickly withdraw, those of us on the waiting list who desperately want a spot would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Received an email from STCL this morning notifying me that my Dean's Merit scholarship had been increased to $5,000 a year!
Sent in my updated resume, LOCI, and official transcript to UH last week. No word from them yet.

Waitlisted at UH. Time to start a LOCI of epic proportions!

Got an email from South Texas saying I have "been selected as a scholarship recipient". Total amount to be determined but min. $3,200 to split between fall and spring semesters. Requires I keep a 3.25 GPA or better. :-)
Went "decision rendered" at UH today. Holy crap I'm scared!

Happy new year! I applied to USD and Santa Clara on a whim this morning. No news from anywhere else yet, not even South Texas to tell me they received my app. My U of H status is still set to "file in review" though I have noticed that they have started to notify their first round of people. I'm trying to resist the urge to check my application status and email every 10 mins.

Applied to South Texas today. Still unsure about USD.
As of 12/02 my application status for U of H is "file in review". Makes me a little nervous but all this waiting is really starting to wear me down.

Got a rejection letter from Baylor already. Kind of caught me by surprise bc the online status check had not been changed to say a decision had been made. Thought it was going to be one of those "we've received all your stuff and a decision will be made by such and such date" kind of letter. Oh well.
Still planning on applying to South Texas and USD.

I applied to my top 3 schools today. U of H, SMU, and Baylor. Fall 2009 for all.
South Texas has not yet put up their application for Fall 2009 on LSDAS (I was told that will be up 12/04). And I am more or less rethinking the California schools.
Oh and the Baylor fee was waived because I submitted my app via their website, NOT LSDAS/LSAC.

Graduated in May with a BA in Psychology from a large state university. Taken the LSAT twice and really don't want to do it again. Got a perfect score on the LG section second time around! Have most of my LOR's in to LSDAS (waiting on one person). Need to start working on my personal statement.
SCARED TO DEATH!
