Additional info & updates

So far I have been accepted to the University of Miami and Hofstra. As of now I am leaning towards the University of Miami although I am hesitant about relocating. Still haven't heard anything from St. John's and I have called them at least once a week. Don't know how much longer I can wait for St. John's.

I called St. John's University today June 21st, 2006. Still no decision made as of yet. It has been exactly 12weeks since they sent me notification that my file was complete....any suggestions?!

6/29/06- St. John's called me today! They accepted me!!!! Now I don't know what to do???????? Which should I choose: University of Miami or St. John's University?!

7/13/06-Yesterday I official withdraw from the University of Miami. I have sent in my seat deposit for St. John's and completed the paperwork for my loans.

I say St. Johns!! Congrats! I just took my LSAT and got 151, we have similar #s. Should I apply or take it again? I would hate to start studying again!

Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the comment. I am just not in the mood for taking it again. I'm not good at LSAT, that's all. I had 3.7 in college, took plenty of honors classes, graduated JPMorgan Chase 4-mo intensive credit training program in top 10% of the class. I think my average there was like 98%. So, I have very good math and analytical skills.... English is my second language, so that was the biggest trouble on the LSAT (I came to US 7 yrs. ago from Russia), i did excellent on Logic games. How was getting into St.Johns? it's a very good school. With Cardozo, I have a lot of involvement with Jewish extracurriculars, so maybe that'll help me. Oh G-d, i have to work on my personal statement. Any ideas?

What do you mean by "strong personal statement"?

Personal Statement
Tuesday, June 20 2006 at 08:00 PM

When applying to Law School there are 4 things they look at: LSAT, GPA, LOR, and Personal Statement. When I say a "strong" personal statement, it means your statement should really impress the committee and it should show them why they should you pick YOU over the other hundreds of applications they have.
